I have not moved my creamware machine from ME because it has really great midi timing. can some of you XP users try this?

True that! ME is still my personal fav

Windows 98SE.
The only problem with 98se tweaked is it's no longer updated by MS as well you can't even get them to sign drivers the cutoff was July1st

Creamware avoid making the Windows 200 support drivers and software, and their have their reasons. Now for a marketing thing Microsoft says "XP is the MULTIMEDIA Operating System" and everybodi moove to that OS, and of course pay for it. Then Creamware is obligated to make the drivers and all the stuff...

E Mail Creamware Technical Support and ask them, and depending on what they say decide...

Considering Xp performed better *out of the box* then 2000 even with the 2nd service pack now on the third ( posted here http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... forum=10&2 by me

the true, is that the most stable OS for me is Windows NT4 with Service Pack 6,

I think that's why MS killed it

If I wern´n a Dual CPU user, I´ll definitively choose 98SE with 98Lite... really stable and faster than XP or Y2K (at least for me)

Didn't the same guy who wrote 98lite get a XPlite on the go?

anyway this whole which os is best could go on forever .....
my thoughts> if it's working for you why change unless forced

Since my previous posts I have installed XP Pro (clean Install). I would like to report all is well. I had tried Windows 2000 for the Pusar in the past and the latency was too slow for me but this is working fine. I'm using the SFP 3.1A.
