Well, stick around here long enough and every new little thing becomes a major event (sad isn't it?)
But no, 3.1 offers a few new devices (mainly a new mixer) and an entirely new way of working.
Plus better dsp loading, you squeze more power out of your investment.

It might not deserve all the hype it gets, but considering that more most users this update is free, it could prove a huge boost to pulsar.

I think 3.01 was more of a stop gap to 3.1
Now all users of creamware cards will have the similar software, which means they can fix bugs quicker, and spend more time providing us with a better system.

Why is anybody the least bit excited about 3.1 - isn't it just a finished version of 3.01 - surley it has nothing NEW or FREE of any consequence in it. Is there any suggestion that any of the scope software will be made available to all - I think not. So whats the big deal/hype/whooptie Doo - 24 bit sound in XP perhaps?
Perhaps I'm wrong - am I?
most of all i hope that i will able to use cd roms and sts with 3.1 in xp.
don't need new devices - nothing, just: stability & compactibilty!!

Hi Simone (another for the Australian mob!), I think CW have kept 3.1 pretty low key. And there are new devices and the update is free - well, depending on what card & version you use. Version 3 certainly piled on the goodies: synths, fx, mixers etc - a more generous update I've never seen... But 3.1 appears primarily as a rationalisation of the different software platforms and a bug fix. And that's got to be a good thing...

Let's just see what it brings

Cool - Perhaps I've grown cynical - That sounds OK.

It's a sweet update. Live Bar makes things much, much quicker, I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much...

So, Sub, you also got the beta?

Can you talk about performance of the asio driver without breaking your agreement with creamware?

As a working musician, I have 3 main passions. Here they are, in order:

1. Lugging heavy things.
2. Waiting.
3. Playing music.

I am soooo enjoying the wait for SFP

You also left out the part where you have to wait an eternity to receive the peanuts from the cheap mongrel who hired you. That's great fun.

One night I got $1200, the very next night I got enough change to buy a packet of salt & vinegar chips from the foyer.... TRUE!
