I myself have Pulsar cards the first generation. These two things are now running for about 15 years. They run and run and .......... The whole runs under Scope 4.5. The last 15 years never need a commercial update.
When I imagine that the cards run under win98 with a CPU of 350MHz and now they're running under XP with 2* 2.6 mHz,....... just great. What I really want to say is that is the immortality already in the product itself. I consider the product rather than a hardware. A hardware which is already finished in itself. Kinda like an analog synthesizer.
The sound of the synths, samplers and effects in my ears are very good.
And even if it should be no more sonic core, you can integrate scope like it is via the interface of the cards in every future setup.

Scope will never die. I'm using 5.1 and it works great. Even if there are no updates, why fix a good thing?
