I guess the sdk needs a 14 dsp card which if i am not completly off mark has additonal components aka onboard ram to run.It makes sense as you need to test the devices you build on a big card to gather performance info about your work.Connected via s/tdm there may be missmatches on how well your creation may perform.And also i guess they just want to limit the sdk users which i can totally understand and i support that.

nope. my speculation is that the 14dsps need to be on the same card for timing reasons, but it's merely an ignorant guess. S|C might tell you why, but they might not...
