P2 cable set - can it be made?

It' was just a clear case of me not understanding the end of the cable being talked about
but great for clearing it up Markus.
After all that soldering and then to find out it was the wrong plug !!! It doesn't bear thinking about.
The only thing worse is soldering and sleeving 26 pins to find you forgot to thread the COVER over the cable first! :o

It would be nice if all the connectors were in a little box. I have different cables going to different patch bays plus 4 optical cables so a long whip wouldn't help.

still the cover for the card plug has to be applied before soldering the box ends... :wink:
I like the idea of a shielded box, too. this one could host at least 2 ends within a 19" frame. one could even make cables with plugs at both ends and let the box have female connectors.
ah well, this was already discussed several times, afair.
