I realized that I forgot to add an input potentiometer which is need to dial in proper drive on different volume input signals....

It will be excluded from presetlist, so you can set it up and exchange presets without affecting the input value....

I should fix this asap.

scope4live wrote:This is great to have in Scope. Funny it doesn't do vocals like I thought it would, but I have a great plug for that anyway.

It works great on vocals, but they must be of the Melotron type. It is better suited for instruments.

.
Hmm...maybe it works better with some tight compression ahead of it, when used on vocals?

Its so flexible but still stays usable in sound.

thx
thanks !

BTW it was already used successfully in one of my demo tracks:

to fresh up the drumloop(which was way to boring at first)
so I gave it the certain roughness....
You won`t believe me that it is the worse sounding lm-7 drum VSTi.... :)

I should have said the 8bit choir samples instead of vocals. It does what it should, but I was speaking more of the megaphone type of lo-fi on a human voice.

There is a local band that I love to watch that's a DJ based group like Linkin Park that uses their own Fergie who dances very well and does background vocals. They are fun to watch and use Ableton's Live like so many here do, but her vocal gets a lo-fi effect which I have now that sounds really cool. When she comes in the w/ the answer call style stuff in Lo-Fi w/ a BPM delay it is really sexy, cool, and fun to see.

I am trying to mix the VST effect w/ the BDX to get what I want. I will let you know how this goes. I am so happy with my synths these days that there is liitle left to look for. My modular mono monster layered w/ the analog hardware synth is just unbelievable.

It's all about FX and mixing for me now. I can't believe it took 3 years to learn my way around the SFP platform, but there is still a long way to go.

Live performance and live recording are the focus these days.

I am installing a sound card in my internet PC so I can have an easier time listening to all of the demos. I usually have to download to a USB stick and go to a DAW.

Hey Hifi this sounds quite nice.

Could you give away how the EQs are being affected when it comes to Psychoacoustic EQs.

Thanks

Music Manic, the psychoacoustic effect in the BDX is describes as followed:

When you use a clipping or distortion effect on a whole mix it will be clearly audible as an fx. You maximize loudness at the cost of audioquality.

The trick with the BDX Processor is that it lets you decide on which bands you do apply distortion. That has the advantage that an distortion in one of the 3 bands has no impact on the clarity of the others.

Lets take an example: if you only drive the higher frequencies a bit and let the mid and low end frequencies unaffected, you won`t hear a distortion effect at all if you setup the gains corectly. Yet still the overall gain is improved.

At the end its all about pleasing or unpleasing distortion.
A simple clipper often sounds too hard, so there is where the bdx maybe used.

Some future version may even come with some kind of feedback in the band chain for a better sound and more punchy sound.
It I am fully satsisfied it may get its place in my pro-fx series like the Advanced clock delay with a similar surface design.

The black line fx like the BDX is my experimanetal stuff series.
