any news ?
yes, i am doing better than it was.... I have thought of something a bit better than the regular 4 or 6 aux. I have put some extra work in the graphics too ( for the good cause, because it makes things clearer).

I have lost a bit of time on graphics for the MB4 bus-group extension, because there is the 16/24/32 input version (possible up to infinity of inputs but i'll stop at 32 for the moment eventhough it can be easily extended to 36, 48, 64.... 128 and beyond !!!), but still some additions to do for everyone to be happy. Plus when It was almost finished, I realized ther is much better to do. For this better to happen, my problem is only graphical and about making all that fit on screen.

I am also in relation with sonic core and we do some testing. They have work too so our email exchange may take a bit more time than when I was on my own.

My dilemna is that if I release the first mixers now, people might get angry when I release other version beause they 'd say "if i knew i would have waited etc". So this is why I waited because I thought it would be better to release as much as possible so user can have an overview of what's released planned etc. This could be important for those who don't want small mixers, but don't want huge ones neither.

I will be evaluating the FAT Inserts these days (with SC): thanks to the remarks of the early-users, and prods I did in the last monthes, I have added a gain control and indication on the surface for optimal input settings. This is good when you do not have a vumeter before the channel (in majority of synths) At first, I thought i'd do an automatic normalizer wizard, but that's just overkill because the devs needs to remain small to be able to load as many as possible and because the vu meter and optimal-input-indicator are just perfect to allow you to add a few dB when required.

I know the more I wait , the more people will get tired of hearing without seeing/touching. I do not say everyone will be impressed though, i just say i prefer to give an overview rather than release every unit after the other and disapoint some people. right? wrong? :-?

I cannot even say what exactly will be released, because yesterday I decided to change something. I have to do it to see how it behaves. If it doesn't pass the test, i won't release. If yes, then it will be released.

It is sure that the FB5 (fader) is released. I just added "pres" on the 3 aux and 2 "tape in" (tape in can be used for linking 2 mixers easily, or can be used as extra tracks, but without the aux. Tape in channel look like MixSat C2 channels, ie, an insert slot, a gain, a vu, and i added a feedback function if needed).

EDIT: and also, it is not only a matter of adding functions. These functions MUST be remotely controllable with full midi recall (ie project/preset assignment must survives switching pc-on/off or midi-controller-preset restore with full workability).

spacey,

Is the MB4 an addition to Blackbox II or a seperate item. I got Blackbox II. Just wondering 'bout any new freebies. :)

free the bees.

No it is seperate, it is not part of the BlackBox. For BlackBox it will come after but there is a Wax update (to work as an insert and to send modulation signal to use in SpaceF mixers or modular patches) and also this oscillator which I think sounds quite fat but has no graphic interface at the moment.

nb: the MB4 alone shoud be affordable, I haven't really thought about prices yet, nor about preferential offers to loyal customers , it breaks the creative atmosphere ...

so there's still hope for a decent offer to returning customers... :)
