agree.

I can't see Linux drivers being a possibility (excuse me if I'm wrong). Closed platforms don't go down well in Linux Land.
Oh & excuse me about OSX drivers! I forgot altogether that apple had screwed up so badly with slot technology decisions!

yes, it's true.
vista is the only "must".

I wouldn't even say it was a 'must' unless your speaking of what drivers come with new cards.. but I could be wrong!

Linux is spreading more and more thanks to continous development and good distros as Ubuntu, now there is a growing large user base, I think also the coming of Vista will make people already tired of MS shit switch to alternatives (if not for Scope I'll not go for Vista).
This growing market hasn't pro-audio support yet and that is a new market where no choice is currently available, this could lead to a boost of sales for few vendors:
indeed this could be a good commercial move.
...and probably better than osx, where the market is already full of everything
People using Linux today are mostly techies and Scope could be greatly appreciated by this kind of users.
Moreover Linux development is now focusing on consumer and multimedia (Ubuntu Studio is developed with help from MOTU)
...yes it is only the beginning, but maybe it is the right time to "take this train".
RME and MOTU are already in.... expect Digidesign/Avid to be the next, now that they're not anymore in love with Apple and things with Windows go badly...
cheers

Congratulations Fede, your ideas are so interesting. Perhaps someone would have to take note.
Thanks.

first Vista, then OSX, and then Linux, otherwise it'd be suicide for SC...
that is, after the ASB line and the new Scope cards (PCI-e and fast sharcs) are ready already...so you better be patient
