It's a different thing compared to my UAD plate 140 but a very very good alternative... a different kind of sound and also a high end dev.

erminadi,
thank you very much
I take that as a great compliment!
Never heard the UAD Plate so far. You can`t have them all.

Hey hifiboom! This is a very nice reverb, it can sound really subtle and sweet, which is just what I needed right now! Excellent GUI as well, very clean. Many thanks for sharing this, keep up the good work!
Much peace,
T

thanks tau for your kind words....
I`m working on the next version already since quite some time.
At the moment I have little time, that doesn`t mean that the projects are stopped,
the are just "on hold" for a month.
Glad to hear so much great feedback.

would be cool of you could make the next version able to save settings in xtc mode

but this is a great reverb!

I`m sorry to say this, but I really don`t care about the xtc mode.
I`d rather work on new devices, before adding XTC saving options.
That will force you to use SFP mode, right?

You can save the automation. All parameters are available. Or you could load it in a MultiFX device, I guess.
Anyway, it's a pretty bad attitude I would say. XTC-mode is a completely valid option and it works better for many.
It's not like it would take much of your time to do the compatibility once a device has reached its finished state

yeah okay maybe I think about my bad attitude and maybe change it.

It seems to save fine if I rename it to a .mdl device.
ok!

well i must admit that i havent renamed all my files to mdl... some are still dev.
but thanks for thinking about making it xtc compatible

but i guess it wont be neccesarey.
thanks again!
and thank you SO much for this great reverb! it is ALOT better than the stock cw ones imo!

I don't know why, but renaming .dev''s to .mdl's tend to do thing in XTC-mode. Come to think of it, I should try it with the samplers.

Thanks!
Good for adding little room ambience for Dynatube.

glad you like it.
should work fine on metal guitar,
as I backchecked it many times to give good results especially with critical sound material.

thats great.
I know that it is not the most flexible reverb concerning the parameters,
but I has its unique sound imo.
More parameters may be introduced in another algo, but not the plate algo.

yes great sound, really ... congrats ! i really love your simple GUI that avoids too much parameters... agree with jimmy on that point !
So many tools available ... i cannot believe it !

I agree! simplicity over complexity! I want to make music, not tweak my time away. I find plugins with too many parameters are taking away my creative "zen".. plug and play!, and if i dont feel inspired i just turn to the modular and spend my time on tweaking!
GREAT reverb! your reverb and the stereospring reverb are the BEST for this platform imo.
THANK YOU!

wow thanks for the great compliments, that pushes my energy for new projects.
I rendered it down to the most important parameters. These ones which are important IMO for a music producer.
I spend a lot of time in my life to analyse reverb stuff by ear, so if I know anything it is the way I want a reverb to sound.
Years ago when I was relative young my father delivered me a high quality sony md-walkman with very good earbuds as present, and over the years I fell in love with the detail the unit did reproduce. The reverb of every professional produced CD was represented in a class, I quickly fell in love with the space of reverberation and how it adds magic size to sounds.
(Altough having good speakers at home I still prefer listening through a good pair of headphones.)
The idea behind this project was to deliver an absolute great quality reverb that can position a dry sound into a fine cloud of reverb tail.
This is by far not the end of line reverb that can do every task, I am well aware of this fact.
But it shows that scope is by far not outdated as a platform and IMO is superior to any other audio system for building quality plug-ins.
Soniccore and every history creamware employee has my highest respect for delivering such a great platform for developers & enthusiasts.
concerning the build of the reverb:
I have differnent testing methods while building, and the best measurment tool still is the ear.
A mathematical model is nice as long as it sounds good.
I`m glad that nobody has problems with using it as I missed to add number descriptors to the damp knobs.
not too difficult to understand I guess and I wa to bored to rework the GUI.
While the tail quality is good so far, the flexibility is not.
That is what I am working at with hall algo. Having size , er/lr ratio and cross reverberation, it can sound absolutly huge and amazingly.
The building process is way more difficult than making music. You change some parameters and next day you realize that it was a step back audio wise. So you quickly loose some days.
But here is where a step back can be a step forward.
So thats why it needs extraordinal amount of time here.
I won`t promise anything but the future may bring some nice goodies.
best regards,
Boris

I'll be stting right here! waiting for that day!
Btw, I find myself using the spring reverb and your reverb on almost every single thing i work on.
THANKS!
