A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

it's very unlikely that your A16U picks up radiation via air, such stuff is preferably spread by cables (powerline, video).
A TFT is no better btw, as there's a ton of pulsewaves in it that may find their way into gear - just re-arranged power sockets to get a better separation.

My typical mixer display after margin reset starts at -84.8, then 80.8, 78.4 - as mentioned it only updates downward, in arbitrary intervals.
The house I live in is almost 100 years old and has a pretty strange electrical installation - very convenient with lots of outlets but probably all fed from a single source and of course not installed with 'pro-audio' in mind ;)

cheers, Tom

Well, my guitar does it a lot... :P

btw, I've noticed that the A16U chassis seems to be insulated from the earth ground (...it appears connectors grounds are), probably in order to avoid loops, maybe I should try to connect earth to the chassis and see whether anything changes...

ok, so I assume "I'm normal" 8) : the max value I obtain is -80 also waiting a full minute.

Strange thing thou that the scope card does 5 dB better in front of a loud ati vga, the distance from it is really about one or two millimeters, when I installed the card the first time I was afraid of short circuiting something...

Ciao,

Just to keep it clear. Tom's A16 is not ultra. By the way Tom, my A16(non-U) does the same thing.
