You don't have to defrag the pagefile. You can delete it and defrag and then create a new one. Disable it if needed in My Computer/properties.

First you must tell windows to not use a page file. Then re-boot. The page file should disappear. De-frag, then make a custom *fixed* size pagefile (Min/Max size the same) as that way it won't become fragmented later.

This machine is only for emails and importing songs to learn and minor shit like that . It's old and has worked hard in it's 6 year life ..was a music machine back in it's glory days . P3 800 asus cusl2c half a gig . Anyway it got slow ..defrag didn't do much diskclean didn't do much but pc pitstop really breathed new life into the sucker . It cost about $u.s.29 but it is worth it as far as not ditching a machine cos it's too slow . Just like all those apps it'll run a scan to tell you what it thinks needs fixing but you have to pay to fix 'em .
Just like I always say I haven't got a clue really but I can tell the difference between slugish and snappy so you might want to give it a go, relatively speaking it's pretty cheap and it seems to work
Cheers
