I have found a few of these fine insert devices, but I was unable to find the 2 mono channel insert .
Could someone post a link?

Here it is:

It has a preset bug for one of the slots that I'm not able to solve, because it shows in SFP but not in SDK.....really weird. Maybe the erminardi's device can manage it in it's presets correctly....

This is the best solution against the mono/stereo issue: besides, from gate to guitar amp the effects are commonly MONO, from Pitch Shifter to OUT are commonly STEREO.
In the old version of SE-70 I've found the problem that if U put a stereo FX (i.e. stereo panner) and then another stero FX (i.e. reverb), the stereo panner signal becomes mono... very strange because the path flow in SDK is correct to maintain always a STEREO chain after the first selected stereo insert.

I was tinking about a VU meter for every insert slot output because some basic plugs lacks of volume monitoring (it's easy, in this way, to achieve clipping along the array and it's hard to find where...).
But I actually don't know how to make the switching interface for every pressed button. Maybe is enough a red overload-led near every insert slot...
That would be a great addition! In my opinion, just a red overload-led next to every insert slot would be absolutely fine. Just make sure that the red led stays lit for 5-10 seconds or more, so one can easily find out where the clipping comes from.
Cheers!
P.S. I think the new device is WAY more problematic than the last one.

.. When I load it, I get no sound coming out at all! When I bypass it, only the right speaker plays!

gainman wrote:Hey, another suggestion I thought of:
The ability to have a few effects loops that can be placed anywhere in the insert chain, so that external effects (e.g. real stompboxes) can be integrated.
E.g. one could setup a chain as follows:
1- Gate/expander
2- eq
3- external wah
4- external dirtbox
5- dt
6- eq
7- compression
8- delay
9- reverb
I think that would make for the ultimate guitar rack!
Clever, but I'm new to SDK and I must learn about how to make a correct send/return circuit.
Anyway this dev is originally created for a XTC duty, so not aux bus was planned. Howewer I can build a Scope version with a couple of send/return.

Same problem... I must learn ho to make a sat led.
There is any SDK guru that can help me?
I can share (on private demand) the SDK source of the device for a team development.
I.e. I think that SpaceF or other well known experts with SDK (and insert/aux) skills can fix my problem in 0,2 seconds...
Thanks in advance!
Anyway I will continue to learn with my mistakes
Sadly in the middle of the week I must work... be patient

Uh, no problem here with Scope 4.5 and 2 different system.
Try to close & reopen your Scope...
Let me know if U still obtain this issue.

Well, don't worry, you are doing fine already!

This device is really helpful and clever! It would be good though if someone that knows the SDK better could help you to perfect the device. What Dynatube lacks in comparison to GuitarRig and Amplitube are the presets. With your device, we could all build a great preset list that could help Dynatube guitar sounds to shine in comparison to the other two amp sims..

Scope 4.0 here... I try it and post back right away...

Ok... I did test and found the following results:
1) If you use your device in an insert slot of a mixer, then what I said above happens.. The previous version was working fine in that respect
2) If you use it as a device in the scope routing window then it seems to work BUT there still exists this problem: "..if U put a stereo FX (i.e. stereo panner) and then another stero FX (i.e. reverb), the stereo panner signal becomes mono"
3) In the previous version.. if you feed a stereo signal into the device (at least when it is loaded in a mixer insert slot) and you push any stereo button, the sound become instantly mono...
I hope this helps...

1) I think that using insert bay in a insert of mixer is a dangerous thing, too many inserts into insert!!! Strange and unpredictable behavior, sometimes works and sometimes don't works. Use it outside the mixer just like an external FX, until I can fix (I hope) this problem...
2) read the new "mark2" JPG for an answer
3) it was the problem that I will solve with Mark2 version.

Hmm... cant someone achieve the same result using the "External Effect" module on an insert?... (I am referring to the version with the aux insert/send)

Is that possible? I mean, have you actually used an external effect module as an insert?
I don't have SFP here , so I can't try it now, but I thought that only devices could be used in inserts.

Yes, sure you can! I ve just tried it with my TC G-Major which is connected to the SPDIF.

Here my new review of SE-70 (always backward compatible with old preset banks):
- as many others guitar multieffects the rig before AMP SIMULATION is MONO, the insert slot can accept also STEREO plugins but the behavior is only MONO. This is for me a forced choice because a strange bug (?) in SDK (read old posts about this issue. We are still in exploration in this problem). Anyway the guitar is a mono audio source

The (false) 2 channel input of the device is necessary because XTC needs 2 channel IN/OUT for an insert VST.
- after AMP SIMULATION the rig becomes fully STEREO, so your delay, verb, etc ambience are safe
- added some useful LED CLIPs for an accurate step 2 step rig control.
- AUX feature is no more necessary because the discover of EXTERNAL FX insert device. And aux I/O can give problems in XTC duty.
- for any info memo use the 10 line text on the bottom of the interface.
- the muting issue when dev is used as insert into the Scope Mixer is still present, I can't relly understand why this random bug... damn SDK!
For shure because too much "insert into insert into insert"... sorry, just use it outside the mixer.
Enjoy and report, in case, any new issue.

OK, it seems I am the only beta-tester of the device...
The Leds are a great addition! But I have found that if you accidentally click on a LED then it takes 30sec until the LED starts to work normally again. Of course this is not a show-stopper! Just don't click the LEDs!

Your first version of the device didn't have this problem though.. I can load many instances of MultiFX, one in to the other, and there is no problem..
... As the device turns out to be, with the mono chain in the beginning and the stereo chain after the Pitch shifter, I cant understand what is the purpose of the Stereo button..

- If U accidentally click on the led and it becomes red... just re-click over it
- SDK seems to be incontrollable, sometimes appeares strange issues!!!
I really haven't done any great change in the circuit from first to others version. Maybe is the preset handling?! Who knows?
- the stereo button allows to load stereo plugins (keep in mind that not all 3d part plugs are available in mono version!) even if the usage is not true stereo but double mono.
All these problems with stereo/mono insert are gone out because Dynatube is not available as stereo device!!!
If I will build the circuit only in stereo, I can't load Dynatube.
If I will build the circuit only in mono, I can't load Stereo plugs.
The solution is a hybrid because the mentioned issue about stereo after stereo insert kills the first stereo signal!

I just came home from work and I had this idea: make the whole circuit in stereo! .. Ok, now you are going to ask me but what about Dynatube that is available in mono only?... If you make the whole circuit in stereo, then there are two possibilities:
a) you can use Alfonso's Dual Insert and load two instances of Dynatube. One amp in the left, and another one in the right for true stereo sound OR
b) one has to make a device, in which you can insert a mono plug-in and the device routes the mono sound to both speakers instead of routing it only to the left speaker only, which is what happens if you load a mono plug-in in a stereo insert...
I am going to post details of that non-existent device in the device wish-list... I think this would be the best solution...
