hey guys,

I suggest that you sort that out via pm, since it's getting personal again. you would do most readers here a favour. I can understand that there are always different meanings on things, but this is a matter between you people, and that's why it should be discussed in private. (although I don't deny that eavesdropping to some inside information is somehow interesting).

maybe you at DAS could make a statement in the device forum that there is some contribution from other developers (maybe you even name what they made), and thus it's clear which part you did (I guess the biggest). I can understand that you are afraid not to get the credits you deserve, so clear things up, and there will be no rumours.

-greetings, markus-

As for the pixelbites GUI elements you've used in the Modular Mixer. I have to say that had you consulted with us on the look of the device it would have looked better. I refer only to the use of the pixelbites elements and don't mean to cause offence reagrding the rest of the design. They just don't sit as well as they could have done and Shroomz has already mentioned about the behringer style 'surrounds'. Thanks anyway to Jimmy for giving us a mention. I know his heart was in the right place. But, as the device stands, if I was given a choice, I wouldn't want to have my name connected to it.

[edited]

Can I just add that I can't believe the Bullsh*t I'm reading in the post below. You've not been offered any more than the rest of the developers on the platform. Which is help with graphics if you need it. You're clearly dillusional.

Oh and yes, I've added to my post (not deleted anything) :D

sharc wrote:Eric, I take it that all the recent good vibes haven't reached you yet. Lets get one thing straight. There is no conspiracy against DAS. It's just that several times your paranoid and somewhat insulting responses on various threads concerning DAS devices have blown things completely out of proportion. Like Astro says, you really need to work on your PR skills or get someone else to deal with that for you. Otherwise it seems your just going to keep on shooting yourself (and your company) in the foot.
i have already writen you by mail that you and your brother will never work with digitalaudiosoft ! we don't need you ! that's the reason you are writing like that against me !
i don't want to play your stupid game more !

if this statement is, then, the final word to this, we could maybe go on celebrating all the new devices and developers keeping scope alive. be it commercial or free, well designed or not - the music you make or process with it won't care. so put your guns back into your pockets and program, design, play, mix and record.

that's all scope was made for.

but, my dear, this is the internet, and Planetz is a privat but public internet forum.
we - yes, we, that is, we all - are allowed to speek out freely, as long as the contribution is on topic and - preferable - correct (content, forum agreement).

I'm very sensable to any attempts to silence someone on our beloved platform John so kindly gives us.
If you really think 'that's not your problem', you should solve your problems by using private messages.
On Planetz, one's problem is in principal everybody's problem, that's how it works on an internet community, and that's what makes this place so nice :-)

Hm, you really seemed to be back on bussiness here, can't believe how easily you catch more importancy to your ego than to your bussiness interests.
Accept my humble advice, don't fight here, you can't win on an internet forum as you don't have the power for it, that simple.

Eric, please believe me when I say with the utmost sincerity & good will, that it really does suit Sharc & myself perfectly to not be involved with you, as you wish. It doesn't 'phase' us one little bit (pardon the pun). :P

a good french pun would have been : "The pigs don't need to eat rotten Jam from their shelf-elected Masters"

you are better in design...let puns to frenchies especially when they are pros

you don't like rotten jam, free rotten distorded and phased potatoes are made for you.

Its funny how the general love vibes in this thread transformated into that hate think, we already had several times ago.( I`m sure nobody wants to go in detail).

Anyway the main approach to start that thread, was to thank all people that spend their time on design ( graphic or sound ) on this community for FREE. That doesn`t exactly adress a company like DAS, although I also welcome any new commercial devices, too.

But mainly the thread should be a big "Thank you for your work" for the dedicated people which love to spend time on this community with noncommercial interests.
