I'm sorry for that. Heard nothing from creamware so far. Maybe I'll email Ralf too, but think he's not the right adress for those things...
hehe, it's cool.

In that case, give us the body of whoever @ CW is dealing with these matters

Hello,

yes, it's not my job to decide in this and so I forwarded your email to the management.

I will forward it again. Some mails were lost due to the latest servertrouble.

cheers

Thanks!!!!! Great!!!!
I have a positive feedback! The first versions of the samplers will be online this weekend!!!!! (today and tomorrow there will be just a few minutes time for me here... See it as kind of betatesting when they appear. It could be, that I have to upload some old DSP files too.

Thanks Ralf. Seems to be allways the best way, to contact you first, than trying to mail someone else directly ;o)

uhhhhhhh, nice!

is it in anyway possible to make stereo files loadable, so they split up as two monos with the right pan settings?

So you could build some simple stereo sampler modules

keep going...

by the way Shroomz knobs are very cool!

These ARE stereo-players...

BUT they load whole sts programs... I hope they can not only handle *.p files with *.s Akai samples.

FEEDBACK IS NEEDED!!! (cause I live here in an ideal world ;o) with all old DSP-files installed etc.!)

erm, it just loaded fine... on my Scope 4.5.

But I cannot place a WAV on any slot. There comes the same error as all the Creamware players show up... "cannot load xxx.wav"

Is it only for AKAI programs?

It is for PROGRAMS!!!! not for single samples!

You have to load STS or *.p programs!

WAV2AKAI is just one way to create compatible programs. Btw.: That was my first contribution to SCOPE platform in my early days ;o) I spent some days with analyzing AKAI-programs with an old AKAI S1000 in the art academie that time. Paul Kellet wrote the program on my trial and error informations, how the parameters are saved in an AKAI-program.

Any need of special DSP-files?)
ONLY ONE INSTANCE IN MODULAR POSSIBLE SO FAR
No dsp files needed on a 4.5 install here.

There's no modular version in the download.

confirmed working here

I loaded an STS program & it worked fine. It's great to see this kind of developement!

I noticed that the midi activity leds on top of the pots seem to steal the control, IE: when you click in the center of the pot the control doesn't actually work.

That should be fixed soon. Nice to hear that it's working!

I've got 4 instances of modsamp1 loaded in Mod II here with an STS program playing fine on each one.

[edit]
I found some handy tools on the forum that could be helpfull for STS program creation...
<a href="http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... um=13&8">3 handy STS utilities incl. a wave to STS program batch creator</a>
<a href="http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 13&0">Akai to wave conversion tool</a>

Can you visually arrange MOZAMSs in modular?
Yes, but there's a couple of small issues. Overlapping them by accident when arranging module placement causes an error (I think it was a stack error) & also, they are just a fraction larger than 2U module width, which causes a problem with arrangment in the standard ModII shell.

edit:- The width of the single slot MOZAM is fine. It's the 4 slot version (modsamp4) which is a bit too wide in size & causes positioning problems.

and it seems heavy on DSP load....

"heavy on DSP"

Only the MOZAM4?
The parts of the old sampleplayers are in general very light on DSP (compared to the modular-modules).

ZAM+ is (in my tests) very light on DSP as expected. Much better than standard modular- sample modules.
