See my point above buying your own solutions. Plus CW seem to have spent more time on printing silly comments on the back panel (Like "Do not feed") rather than printing the polarity on the mains connector.

Also most companies say your warranty is void if you don't use their adapter, so it's up to CW to provide a decent one to start you off i would have thought.

OK, if CW knock off £50 off the price i'll get my own good quality power supply, although i find 9V to be more 'standard' than 12V.

£50 ?? What, is the one you're after made from solid silver?

Well, a return on the tube to Central London to get to Maplins is £6 now (!), plus lost time spent getting it (my rate is £25 per hour, so i lose at least £50 there), plus wear and tear on my shoes, plus the cost of the actual transformer - i think £50 is reasonable.

Anyway, my point is i want CW to sell these (of course) and i think for a paltry sum spent on a decent PSU they could have got a better review in SOS and would have looked like a device for professionals:

"Unfortunately, the B4000's power supply is the wall-wart type with a European two-pin plug. When I reviewed Creamware's Pro-12 ASB in SOS May 2006 I criticised the cheap-looking, thin brown plastic UK mains adaptor supplied with it - the main problem was that it fitted too loosely over the power supply so that when plugged into a wall socket, the power supply was prone to fall out. Creamware now supply a virtually identical black plastic adaptor with a locking screw which holds it in place when tightened. However, the new adaptor is of no better quality than the original, and when fitted over the European plug at right angles it forms an ungainly L-shape. If i were taking the unit out on the road I would definitely look for a sturdier, less clunky alternative - the best solution would be to buy your own UK 12V power supply, but it's annoying that Creamware don't supply this in the first place."

Pay a couple of quid extra to get it delivered. You will save time, shoe leather and getting mugged on the tube.

Shame there is not a multiway power supply that supplies multiple 9v and 12v supplies with centre positive/negative. One box like thsi feeding 10 devices would make me feel alot safer.

I have multiway psu from dolphin that powers 8 x 9v devices with configurable tip negative/positive. Cost me about 60 quid. Shame ASB is 12 volts!!!

Not really, 'cos then you get one of those nice "You weren't in..." cards and you end having to risk your life going to some out of the way delivery warehouse near Mile End to pick it up.

Yeah, the 12V thing is a bit of a pain too, 9V would have been better for compatibilty (i have loads of 9V lying around).
