Immanuel, my 'statement' was more or less intended to rule out the option...

but I haven't been that far away, as a look at
http://www.zargmusic.com/oasyspci/ will reveal.
Honestly, I never peeked at John's OASYS pages before
cheers, Tom

Does this mean you want the heavily zippered envelopes and pitch modulation? When I sat with the Wave and went through things, I was surprised at how much of this there was, especially for such an expensive instrument.
I actually don't. I even turn the "real PPG" switch off on the Waldorf plug in to get rid of that aliasing. I just thought the real PPG Wave filters were not as creamy as they are on the plugin. Maybe, while comparing, I was playing with the early revision which is known for being a little harsher I think...
By the way John, what do you think of the Prophet 5 Rev. 2 emulation by Creamware. Did they emulate the SSM chips right? I never played with a Rev 2 Prophet...

Hi,
I actually don't have a copy of the Creamware Profit 5, so I can't tell you how the Rev 2 emulation compares...
I would think it should be pretty close, if Klaus did some revisions to the DSP blocks we used for the Pro One and old Prophet Plus - but I just don't know for sure! (And Klaus is no longer there....)

I am not into Synths, but considering who was in the building team (John Cooper) Oasys is really one synth which I think it would be very bad to "scope-copy". I think that if bad karma exists, this would really be a way to get it.
Immanuel,
What Tom is hinting at is not trying to model the OASYS on the Creamware platform, but that in the future Korg will/may have 3rd party support for the new OASYS keyboard. I have, in fact, had some discussions with them about this, but at this point, there is no version of their SDK (SynthKit) that works with the new OASYS. Also, they are not sure how they will proceed with 3rd parties, so it's all way too early to tell.

It currently does not - this is a possibility, however, I don't yet know if I will even be releasing it as a product, as there's a number of functions (which I cannot provide with the current SDK) that would need to be added as well to make this a 'true emulation' of the Wave.

Solaris lite? Or Eclipse, perhaps
Suthnear,
I like this name, Eclipse (although it's a car here in the US). Maybe I'll have to use it for the Solaris Junior someday

(Of course, you would get a free version of it!)
