spoimala, I agree with your theory. for those who paid big buck for SCOPE SP long ago they should be updated to today's scope devices.
But the idea that scope get every single released device is not a good idea. as people who make those devices need to earn their pay check and so on... but keeping current with existing scope software I am 100% with you.

but again. They posted a partial website on their way to Messe. They must be given sometime to explain all this but since CWA is out of their offices until mid next week at least. they should be given the proper time to make adjustment to the website . again is a new beginning for them and they need time to adjust. We can only gear them to the right path if they chose to miss it.

cheers

...there is a greek proverb saying: "they were gifting a donkey to someone and he was checking the donkey's teeth" (free translation)

it is a bad thing to be unthankful...

this means that one should accept whatever is given to him as a gift, without saying things like "it is no good", "why dont you give me a bit more", "I prefer the red one" etc...

CW already donates/gifts to us the upgrades Isnt that enough?

Just one thing: Im always preparing to pay for every upgrade there is. That way, i have never been dissapointed. and usually there is some deal for excisting users as well.

There will ALWAYS be people complaining, but as stated earlier, you cant please everyone on such matters.

I'll put it like this: I am CONFIDENT that there will be some thing in this release for everyone, we get a new OS, and maybe some discounts here and there. and (ofcourse) free plugs for new users, and for u as well if u expand your CW setup  )

My two cents.

If Creamware wants to sell their products or even give them away, it is their business. If new features are being introduced, the company has a right to charge for the upgrade, if they were not in the original deal. If the product does not work as stated (at the time you bought it), though, that is a different story, and it is the responsibility of whoever is selling said product to fix the situation. Bear in mind when you're talking about consumer-level computer software, it's not realistic to expect cutting-edge technology to be 100% bug free.

I admit if I was a Mac owner that had got burned with unusable software, I would not be pleased. But realistically, Creamware has to be very careful with its next few moves, and can't give everyone software for free to everyone with a gripe, I've got a few gripes myself about it running under Windows, but overall I think the positives far outweigh the negatives.

in theory that's absolutely reasonable and noone will doubt about it, yet it has developed to the biggest cash cow this economy ever invented.

Honestly, I cannot tell you the difference between Photoshop 3 and 5, but I've read they currently sell a version 8 or 9.

CW's product policy always emphasized the free continued support of the basic systems.
That is a real sales argument and one doesn't have to bother if #.5 is worth an investment or just to polish a balance.
The queestion doesn't even arise, so I'd like them to contnue the tradition

cheers, Tom

I suspect they make enough money on the sale of new devices that having everyone on the same version makes more sense than charging for an upgrade and dealing with explaining all the support issues with devices across several versions.

At least I hope so...there's too many good devices for people to not use them!
