Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the tips and the warm welcome

Anyhoo. I've a few quiet days to get to know my new Pulsar, and, I'm happy to say, first impressions are very favourable.
The sound quality is a vast improvement on my old Echo Audio card, and I'm definately steering towards mixing as much as possible within SFP. The audio summing seems to produce better, clearer mixes than mixing within Cubase. I can't begin to imagine why, and I don't care much.
Another reason I'm enjoying mixing in SFP is because of the midi learn functionality. Hats off to Creamware for this. Many of the software sequencer manufacturers should take note!
The bundled FX are pretty good. Nothing has leapt out as amazing but I'm happy. What I'd really like is a better compressor. Reading around, it seems that Vinco is pretty popular, and as I'm looking for something with a bit of bite and character, it sounds good. i haven't downloaded the demo (or any demos) yet, but I wonder if there's any other comps I should be trying aswell?
The bundled synths suprised me more. I was expecting to disappointed. With the Pulsar range *cough* showing its age slightly, I wasn't expecting the synths to be any better than the few vstis I have, but I was wrong. The sound quality seems have a depth that native plugs don't have, so i'm very happy. My current favourite is Prisma, although I haven't really given the others a fair chance yet
My one big disappointment was that I didn't get any version of Modular! I don't know why, but I assumed that some version of it would have been bundled with the card originally, but it seems not :/
Well, I can see a long road of products to buy ahead! I'm resisting trying any demos, because I can feel the Pulsar's sneaky little mitts prising the credit card from my wallet! I've already ordered the ADAT card for my Z8 sampler, Modular is on the must list, and I can imagine MiniMax stealing my heart too!
