crazy, man!
that's the spider pig! it's cooler than the spider man because we all know what homers around the world think about when they see a pig. mmmmmmm bacon aaaaaurrrrlllll[add drool effect].
that pig represents all that us fat, mindless americans love about pigs. and radio active spiders that make a guy into an invulnerable superhero that really gets those girls and shoots webs...

				one thing about hicks,
they don't panic when the water and power go out. they have water on the property and can live without electricity. they can generate their own, if need be.
onother thing about hicks,
they don't need an authority's protection from scary people or bears. in fact, they don't need an authority for anything, especially in how to raise a child or breathe.
still another thing about hicks,
they don't starve to death when the government rations food or when food supply lines become disrupted. they know how to grow their own, and fish and hunt, and they make sure that their environment is fit for all of the above.
a last thing about hicks,
they don't go around acting superior to everybody and they don't take pleasure thinking themselves superior by mocking other's foibles. they're too busy enjoying their own lives to be so twisted and bitter all the time.
(all just generalities, of course)

hicks enjoy individual genius -always. unless it makes a big mess, and then only if it's fun.

yes, otherwise you shouldn't have changed your post to a new cartoon. it destroys the "integrity" of the thread...
