99 euros for 70+ modules ?
I call this a bargain ...
For a modular deep lover it's a gift !

I also think it's a little bit sad that users are asking, even *expecting*, some kind of Mod3+Flexor deal... it is not up to Adern to arrange deals involving software that is not theirs (mod3) !!

If you want to see such a deal, you should be directing your opinions to Creamware, and not this thread IMHO.

I think that the community should be pretty grateful that the pack is going to be 99 Euros... it should really be much more but this price point was decided upon to give the most amount of people possible access to this technology to use in their music. Asking for anything less than this is just asking too much :z

peace

a cool thing would be if cw offered a special price bundle and took the discount from their part. from the looks of it adern will contribute to sfp in great way. this should benefit cw, so it should be in cw`s interest that adern get a relly kick start.

or maybe not, what do i know?

yes, 99$ is REALLY a bargain! i am not complaining at all about flexr price, if this will be 99eur!!!
and when i was speaking about a special mod3+flexor bundle (even for the upgrade), I was thinking about a special promotion by creamware (maybe even for a limited period of time). I think CW has all the interest to promote this bundle, even by lowering a bit his prices (not flexor's one)!

then, if they port mod3+flexor to noah... well, what other modular synth are like this??

quote from http://www.adern.com:
"
Q: Will flexor work on all SFP versions?

A: FleXor works only on SFP software version 3.1c. This version is freely downloadable from http://www.creamware.com for all Creamware DSP cards.
"

How about when we finally get SFP4.. or even 3.5?

Flexor's price is excellent !

But I agree with all the others here that a CW bundle would be a good idea. I already have Mod-III, but I think encouraging as many people as possible to move to Mod-III with a bundle deal would be good.

This would help avoid having multiple versions and combinations of Flexor, ModII and ModIII. After all, it's a pretty small user base and it'll be in everyone's interest if we're all using the same version.

Agreed Richard.

Red, the Adern team has made a great work from your vision. Your lifetask comes true you must feel excellent.
Flexor looks very impressive and I hope that I can plug the first cables soon. You´ve built a real alternative for me compared to Reaktor.
A beautiful design combined with mighty modules. The price is very fair.
Well done.

The manual so far looks very good as well - which I have found lacking in many releases. IMO, A good manual is very important for reference on how to best utilize a new device.

I am hoping that a few instruments and presets showing off the new modules will come with Flexor as well (although, for the price, I wouldn't necessarily expect it).

quite some patches have already been made, but all of them were done with 'release candidate' software, and not the final version. you won't see them on the adern forum (VIPatches) yet. rest assured, they will come back. some folks who have made a great deal of the best patches here on planetZ will for sure contribute...

The Flexor online manual is very impressive! It is surely a great aphrodisiac for us... I must feel these knobs asap
The manual also shows Animated GIFs of wave shaping and other processes - a great visualization method, highly appreciated!

Yup - I agree. The manual is a great teaser and it is well written too. I particularly like the dedication to explain what each module is good for, something which isn't allways explained in the CW-manual - I find it very inspirational and can't wait to spent 99 bankborrowed Euros on this delicate addition to the modular.

Cheers!

I realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy realy recomend getting monitors first!

monitors are the most important aspect in the studio
more than a computer, sound card and yes, even flexor!

while flexor may add endless colors to your sound, monitors will help you get the colors right, and thats whats important.

Hmmm. Coming up to five months now since the release announcement.

And it's two months since the promise of "tomorrow".

Has Creamware anything to say about all this ? It's making NI's laughable release predictions look rather good.

( No, I'm *not* attacking Red_Muze or Flexor - I'm sure the product will be absolutely superb )
