I don't know about that. They're different types of Analyser...stardust wrote:At least the missing SDK analyzer as a 5.0 device will be of some interest, but kill wolf's business with the analyzer pack.

Well, that's disappointing. I was hoping for new, cool plugs from SonicCore...<~Shroomz~> wrote:Those are all older plugs not new ones from what I can see (MCCY mentioned this earlier in the thread). There's the De-Vice one at the left, the red one is the old Vocoder & the Spectrum analyser is a measurement tool that presumably was never released. It certainly didn't come with the sdk.
I guess I was the one who was wrong, then.

Thanks for worrying, but I honestly don't think so.stardust wrote:At least the missing SDK analyzer as a 5.0 device will be of some interest, but kill wolf's business with the analyzer pack.
notice the differences :
- signals inside the audible range are measured via standalone system
- audio signals are measured in context to musical content in any scope system
guess, which is which ..
This standalone stuff is shurely great for dealing with accoustic environments (like dampening noise of cars, cleaning up studios, etc.) or dsp development, but not really for music production.
further differences as far as I can tell :
- correlation meter
- rms/peak level meters
- slick, easy-to-use and musical design
- etc.
On a personal note :
Imo fft-analysis is overrated, not a musical presentation and a kind of always reoccuring fashion like the well known pimple in the face.
.. and there are more worlds than two, while we're all living in one .. just to have it said
