I have:-
System : Intel PIII (815i Chip 800Mhz), ASUS CUSL2-C (Jumper Free, PC133, AGP 4X) Motherboard, Matrox Millennium G400 Dual Head AGP Graphics Card, 512Mb RAM,Flatron 775FT monitor, Logitec Cordless Mouse, Win98, Pulsar 2 Card, Pulsar 2 Software V2.04, Cubase V.5, and a headache.
Almost every time I drag the Big Mixer into a project, or when I start up, or shut down the Pulsar program, I recieve a variety of Runpep errors, the most common being:-
1. Runpep caused an invalid page fault in module BASE.DLL at 0177:1005764f, and
2. Runpep caused an invalid page fault in module SIM.DLL at 0177:00aefcef.
The Pulsar card sits on IRQ 5. I have tried moving it to IRQ 9, but the computer won't let me. I have tried the card in every slot, I have re-installed Windows, made all recommended alterations to the V Cache, Swap File Memory, etc. This is with or without Cubase installed.
Help!!!!!!.
Runpep Errors
Subject: Change IRQ
Well, it seems that you have IRQ-Shared somehow or you have other soundcards (not pulsar/scope families) have same pulsar's IRQ in your system...
Likely, the CUSL2-C has shared PCI-slot 1, 5 and AGP slots (maybe). The best way to place pulsar II into the slot 3 or 4. In case you want to dedicate IRQ9 to it, you need to setup in BIOS (while boot systems, hit the DEL key). Reference to the ASUS-user-manual page 66, you can set your PCI slot to any IRQ as you wish, then save the setup and let it re-boots. That's all.
Good lucks,
Long

By any chance are you using the Beta version of the 2.04 update? I had run pep errors when I tryed using it. I don't understand about your computer not letting you use IRQ 9. If I put my card in slot three, it is automatically assigned to IRQ 9. If I put it in slot 2 it goes to IRQ 5, which does work well. Do you have a STDM cable on your card. The little numbers should be read from the top-side of the card. Otherwise its upside-down. Somthing is goofy. You have the dream Pulsar set-up.

Have you tryed a fresh install of Pulsar? That would be simple. There is also a step by step way to remove all traces of Pulsar and then install fresh.
I empathise with you, computers are very unreasonable. I had major improvements with mine when I turned my STDM cable right-side up. I've also had a lot fewer problems since I began using a dual boot systems. One partition for fam files and mine for audio. That probably won,t help. Is there anywhere you could interpret the meaning of the error. I know windows has a pretty good troubleshooting tutorial. it won't hurt to try.

Subject: The Manual
Tubby,
Something in the back of my mind made me think of troubleshooting and last night I remembered where. I couldn't get back to you because the forum was unavalible.
In the introduction section of the manual(on the CD or under help in Pulsar), on p. 23, they mention "blue screen" in relation to other sound cards on your computer. To install drivers for other cards, you must hit cntrl>alt>del. select "run pep" and click on "end task". Then, you can install drivers for the other card.
Also, start on p.31 and follow the optimization Tips section. At the www.rme-audio.com site, they also have a PC tune-up section, and they recommend leaving the Virtual Memory be controled by Windows.
Even though you have a great computer for Pulsar, you may not have optimzed it yet. Excuse me if you have already done this, I'm just trying to help.
Another good habit is to go to start>run>"msconf">start-up tab. Uncheck everything except "Sys Tray" and "Init Pulsar". This increases your aval RAM.
