I've read the archives and it seems like the ASUSTeK A7N8X is the best choice for this chip. Problem is, it's not sold anymore here - I only have the choice between ASUSTeK A7N8X Deluxe, ASUSTeK A7N8X-E Deluxe, ASUSTeK A7N8X-VM and ASUSTeK A7N8X-X.
Are these equivalent in stability ? I've been using an Abit until now and constant PCI overflows have made me conscious of the importance of this choice ... ^^

As an aside, what about the ASROCK K7S8X SiS 746FX and K7S8XE SiS 748 ? They're the cheapest cards on the market for Athlon, so I'm a bit worried about PCI performance - but if I go zrong it won't cost me too much I guess ...

As I understand it, you should go for a card with the Nvidea2-chipset. Asus's Nvidea-based MB's are reported to work fine with Creamware if my memory serves me well.

But use the search function - There have been written a lot about this exact issue here on PLanetZ

why save $30 on a $1500 computer to get crap?
the sis chipset stinks. get a mobo w/ an nvidia or amd chipset. spend the extra $20-$30 and have something that works.
