i know they are two entirely different device but... i'm about to choose my second (!) gift plugin. the first was optimaster, and now i am uncertain about these two.
i'd prefer pysQ to add some "breathness" to my mix, but i'm also about to buy a small pre and mic to record some acoustic instruments (no vocals for now!) so the vinco could be useful...
what would be the best thig to do?

the Psycho is the candy on the cake, but what if the 'basic' doesn't taste ?
I guess the Vinco will improve the quality of the acoustic recordings a lot.
I'm not an expert of this but some of my fovourite recordings are from the 50s/60s, where they used to apply that stuff in a way that the compressor was hardly noticable - but it just sounded great.

my 2 cents, Tom

Get PsyQ - it's a really nice addition to Optimaster.

Vinco is great but frankly, the standard compressor/limiters are perfectly acceptable and there are plenty of 3rd party offerings that rock!

I still think the Level Devil is a wonderful 3rd party compressor/limiter and it costs less than Vinco. Easier to use too!
