I am three clicks from buying DaDevs V-Tube, but before I buy it I want to hear your opinions about it.
I'm mainly a synthesizer guy and I've never been into this 'tube'-hype, but when I tried the device I instanstly became very impressed with the sound.
So, are there any bugs? If so... are they serious?
Are the DaDevs devices updated occationally?
Carl.

I don't have the v-tube, but my dadev multicomp's got a "mini" version of it in the chain. As far as my own experience with it, whether or not it sounds like a real tube or not, it does characterize the sound in a strange way. I use it on drums sometimes, and usually not on an entire mix.
about dadev as a developer.. they're supposedly on a new phase of using the newly acquired DP pack, to convert old plugins to XTC compatible mode.. seems they're not going to be doing any new devices 'till that's done.

Can you try using it as XTC plugin? Because it says on their site that you can. I haven't managed to make it work.On 2003-01-03 19:13, Ganool wrote:
Hi... just wanted to say that I just bought VTube and I'm very satisfied with it.
Cheers!
Carl.

And Nicolas won't answer my posts at the Dadev forum. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I asked him if it was possible to sell and re-register my VTube to someone else (like you can with CW devices) a while ago. Never got an answer to this either. Never sold the VTube because of this either.
