For example I have Vegas 18 set up as a mobile installation...it could be on a USB stick , in my instance it's in its own folder on my C drive ...same as Noah is .
No, there´ s no Noah mobile installation.
I don´t think it´s possible running Noah Remote Editor from USBstick and w/ Noah being connected to host computwer via USB.

Ok thanks Bud .

I have to keep reminding myself that XP is a 20 -25 year old system!...things weren't the same then ( that we take for granted now ) ...like mobile installations ha ha .

I didn't know that about the drivers only showing up while Noah is running . I did run an Uninstaller, from within the Noah folder.
I'll try again deleting it all then doing a clean reinstall.

Apart from Noah this XP SP3 installation seems to be working fine though hmmmm

I recognized yesterday when I powered up my WinXP laptop and Noah wasn´t connected via USB neither the Remote Editor app was running.
So,- I was surprised too.

Wait for Valis´ reply,- he´s truly a computer expert,- way more than me.
And like you, I waded thru the NoahEX reflash and installation, incl. all the devices available for Noah just by reading the Noah thread here @PlanetZ as also by trial n error.
At the end, I was happy everything works,- except that damn buggy Pro12/Profit5 not responding to Noah front panel action in regards of in depth synth parameter editing and like it works w/ all the other devices running on Noah(EX).

So, please don´t make any mistake now.

Meanwhile I doubt it´s your WinXP installation is the culprit.
Must be something during installation process of your devices.
May I ask which activation keys you own and if these came from seller,- or did you get keys from generous S|C support ?
I don´t wanna every key´s detail,- just only if you have/got a single keyfile including all the device keys except Prodysey and Profit5,- or if you have/got individual keys for every device.

There is a "noah_ex_nokeys.oxe" file and once you installed and put in the keyfile, all the devices should appear w/ their keys in Noah Remote Editor module registry.
Noah synchronization w/ editor software via USB might work (I don´t remember if it does) automaticly then.
Leaves only the keys of optional devices not being included in this file.
NoahEX should be flashed w/ the "noah_default_edsp_prod.dmp" file, which includes most of the available devices.
IIRC, I only had to install Pro12/Profit5 manually.

Below how my activation keys look like,- I deleted the key numbers and replaced by "..."

*** NOAH ***

Your activation keys are as followed:

Hardware: ... (Sonic Core)

Software: Noah Editor
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Synthesizer Package 2
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Minimax
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Six-String
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: proTone
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: B-2003
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Vocodizer
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Interpole
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Prodyssey
Key (v4.x): ...
Software: Pro-12/Profit 5
Key (v4.x): ...

Several devices are included in the Synthesizer Package 2 key !
And there´s a single keyfile for all these keys.
In my post w/ screenshot above,-
viewtopic.php?p=369579#p369579
you see how it appears/looks in my module registry.

Really, it MUST work when you have all the correct and non-corrupted files and follow the version 1.1 installation instructions.

Above, I already posted a device installation method using the installer software shortcut.
You create the shortcut by select and right-click the "PluginInstaller.pro" file in C:/Noah/App/PluginInstallerApp/the file and choose "send to desktop" from pulldown menue.

B.t.w.,- In C:/Noah/App/... you also find the "UninstallerApp" folder and inside the UnInstaller.pro file.
The v1.1 installation (media)includes a setup.exe.
So, since it seems to be impossible executing a .pro file by doubleclick,- maybe you have to run the v1.1 installer again to get checkboxes (or whatever selection) for "install" or "uninstall" the Noah software stuff.
Please try.

I´ve found another .oxe files installation method posted by HUROLURA » Fri May 12, 2006 10:29 pm and I made a PDF-
Noah - install Devices using .oxe files.pdf
(60.04 KiB) Downloaded 10 times
It also includes Garry´s comments.
The other instructions from above and/or these work.

If you don´t get it right,- there must be something else.
Did you try different USB cables, p.ex. ?

I hope it helps,-

:)
