I understand, although I have some usb keyboards and soundcards that are class compliant and they were built before any 64 bit operating system and they still work... so I guess NOAH USB drivers are not class compliant.

Who knows which is the best operating system to use noah as an usb soundcard for windows and for mac osx?

I ask before purchasing a used unit..

thanks!

WinXP 32bit is the most likely bet. Win7 32bit might work, but I don't follow the Noah threads enough to know if that's true or not.

well, the Noah is not a soundcard, although it can be used as one.
i would suspect that you might be able to get sound and access a number of functions, but you might also get blue screens, depending on what you attempt. the remote software will not function completely. you will need an XP or OSX 10.2 or earlier machine to reinstall the Noah firmware, for instance.

it would be easier to just purchase a Behringer usb soundcard for i/o and then use the Noah for what it was intended, as a synth. :D

Win7 32-bit fully works with the Noah.. Runs the editir software fine, have reinstalled firmware etc too. You may need to right-click on the inf file to install the drivers, but it does work.

I think it is well worth trying to explore the possibilities of using the Noah as an ASIO sound card under XP or W7 32. Use the inputs for a pre-amped guitar and bass, or hook it up with an external rack sampler. Use the Interpole for processing external signals. Run the mix of your daw though the NOAH mixer, it sure sounds sweet. Since you can use the NOAH for synths and effects, you may even use an old XP machine to run your DAW.

great! thanks for your feedback guys!
Another question... do you know if it's possible to develop noah software through scope/dp / ScopeSDK 4.0 or newest Scope SDK 7.0 ? I mean if there is any SDK that compiles plugins/instruments versions that run natively on noah.

thanks!

Not come across anything built for Noah that didn't come from the original Creamware...
Device files are '.oxe' IIRC, and preset files are not '.pre'.

Have you managed to get Prodyssey and Profit 5 on your Noah?

Here's some useful reading for your Noah:

Fully working here under Win 10 x86. No x64 drivers though the software does work under x64 you just can't connect to the noah over usb so no point really

i have problems synchronizing noah hardware with software part (pc-side) using 1.1 software. I will try 1.0 ...
EDIT: i did it using noahflash + dmp file and miniOS mode. It worked.
