Extreme Routing

Post by dawman »

I liked the DNA FX Rack enough to remove and keep my TC Fireworx as a spare for the vocals.
Decided to try a Bellari RP562 as an AUX Channel by using a Master FX Module and assigning it I/Os.
I should have done this before buying a 3rd unit from eBay.de then modding it with Analog Devices opamps and RCA 5751 Command Line Tubes.
About 800 USD Per unit TOC.
It sounds fantastic on my HX-3 module.
PianoTeq 200A and Keyscape Rhodes.

We also tried one on the Mains of our PA Post dbx Compressor.
Sounded alright, but worked great on Bass.
Cheap old Peavey Bass Amp with Line 6 Bass Pod ProXT.
Send out 2 channels, one to the stage amp, the other FOH Snake.
Fantastic.

One of these makes the XITE-1 a serious replacement of a hardware mixer, audio patch bay, MIDI Patch Bay, Bome MIDI Translator and a rack of hardware FX.

Nice jimmy! Didnt know the bellari was a hidden gem. Cleans the rack haha.

Fantastic btw you're also that fond of your dna-effectrack. Very rewarding for me personally!

I got an extra Tube Exciter now.
And an extra TC Fireworx.
I love it when I just play keys rather than having to run the PA and be the boss for adolescent musicians....

Happy New Years

Thanks again for awesome FX Rack.

Nice rack :-)

Have you ever tried the Sony DPS V77 effect rack?
I don't have one, might be looking for one in the future if it"s needed (especially for the reverbs on voices in the mix).
Make some research about it, it's hard to find though, people who still have one generally want to keep it (and those guys often also have expensive lexicons and TC....).
Just an idea though (as one might need to change internal battery, and 2nd hand prices for this vintage thing can go from 400 or less to 800 or more....)...

Yes I should have said, "it's hard to find .... at decent prices" :-)
I found that one too but I think that's too expensive, at least for a "non-pro" like me.
