Driver Dialog in Win7

Sorry for the stupid question but where is the Driver Dialog in Win7 x64.. I never use the Wave drivers but I need to configure them to try to get some sound into Skype. Thanks.

the only driver dialog will be the audio settings in skype. if skype offers you buffer settings, etc, great. since the Scope card isn't a soundcard there are no controls in windows or windows apps. windows cannot access the internals of the Scope card.

the wave drivers in 64bit work, but they do have random clicks. i'd use the built-in soundcard to get sound into skype. you can route the output to Scope, if that's better, but i think a windows soundcard will work better with skype.

I'm talking about the Driver Dialog detailed on page 2 of the Appendix (SCOPE manuals). How do you add/remove Wave drivers then if not through this dialog? I'm using an Xite BTW, si that why I don't see it anymore on Win7?

So what you're suggesting is to use the embedded soundcard for skype and then route the audio from SCOPE into the latter somehow? I'm using the microphone input from my webcam for Skype so I don't think I can just take the Analog DEST from SCOPE and run a cable back into the internal soundcard.

Has anyone ever done this? Doesn't seem to exotic...

And if I wanted to remove them? I've already added one, but it seems that I can't use them from within Skype. When I go to the Sound control panel in windows and I try to test either of the 3 drivers, either I get a "Currently being used by another process" or unexpected error.
FYI I'm currently using the Scope drivers from the SDK, should I rollback to the drivers within SCOPE itself?

the drivers are the same, afaik.
there's also no reason to remove them from the registry.

if the module isn't available in the routing window, you'll get a driver not available warning.
windows doesn't recognize the wave drivers in the proper order in win7/win8. i believe the second pair is seen as the first pair.

I think SCOPE drivers might have some advantage over the SDK drivers, according to this thread. Scroll 1/2 way to t_tangent's first post.

Hi all,

jksuperstar, I seem to recall only Scope PCI 5.1 drivers are different from Scope SDK for PCI 5.1, but the XITE drivers were the same for Scope XITE 5.1 and Scope SDK XITE 5.1. I am pretty certain that was the case but will try to confirm later.

Neuromantik says he is using XITE so that shouldn't make a difference in this case, possibly
