So now the SFP 3.1 is out and all the fuzz is over, I got suddenly curious about what we Pulsar (and other CW products) fans could expect next. What will be the next development by Creamware - are theyr focus set on the new Noha synth only? Are we expecting some new plugins soon etc.? I am very excited about the new TC works plugins for SFP in the pipelines (thought the new X Verb is apparently not going to be in that package)(see: http://www.d-media.dk). As I am one of the happy Pulsar users clan I am excited to hear of new things in the lines!!!!
Just a thougth

I think that CW needs a clear third party development policy. I don't know if that's possible (or I'm completely crazy) but I guess they should give the SCOPE/DP for free (or some sort of Development platform), in that way people would start to develop new things, and therefore the sales would increase. Well.., sounds good on paper..(would sound better on Pulsar )

But seriously... what do you think about my idea????... is it feasible for CW to give the DP away, so we all can have more pluggins or devices????

Sorry timeworks it is of course...
Would be nice to open the platform, but isn't there a SHARC developmental kit you need to have to program those chips? How much can you build using Scope only - I'm not sure!

hi,

afaik EarlyFirst reverbs are Scope alone with no additional tricks.
You wouldn't improve anything by giving the platform away for free.
See above, Paul achieved his fantastic sound by proper programming. Obviously he has a certain knowledge HOW to do this (at least he claimed not to have used any secret sources).
This kind of knowledge is required, not a bunch of 'me too can do it'.
Try to compete with the sound of that reverb or the synths of Celmo, Zarg and Wavelenght (for example) - no simple task imo.
I know some talents might stay undiscovered that way, but the opposite would be even worse.

cheers, Tom

The guts of the PT-FREE-96K

simple

it's a version less then half the size of FREEVERB
by a cool fellow named Jezar.

There is no moving delays in the ciruit and I even use less allpass delays then he did for the VST version.
As well all _stock_ scope 1.2 atoms redone in V3 ScopeDP

now the V2 versions are another story, they do things I have not seen in any plugin ever.

as well as the amount of control/don't worry there is a edit and work aproach to the design. So one day you can sit and edit rooms to your hearts content but when the paying client is sitting beside you you can hide all but the most important controls.

For all those wondering what's the hold up?

The Presets, the new Scope in unforgiving if you mess something up....( well atleast for me)

Paul
