pulsar2 Classic or Plus?

Post by lazaman »

Hi people
Does anyone know how to identify whether a pulsar2 card is classic or plus?
I have a pulsar2 card, a "Classic 20 Cable" and a "PLUS Cable" and I dont remember
which i/o went with this card.

Any help much appreciated, be your best friend, etc, etc, etc. :)

Cheers Lazaman.

Hey Gary, thanks for the reply, I did read that before but I havn't got another
card to reference against (three others in Holland, I'm in England! Doh!)
Do you know where the chip is located on the plate? Maybe I can see it.

Thanks again, Lazaman. :)

how did you figure it out?

personally, i know where to look, but it's been a LONG time. i could never describe where the chip is by memory. it might help others in the future to see the solution.

Here's a picture of a Classic I/O (left) and a Plus I/O (right). Two extra caps on the Plus.

And a voltage/current regulator too, from what it looks like.

yep, you can see the extra ic on the corner and another towards the middle. the one towards the middle has an extra cap.
