DIY 8 core loom some help needed

I'm in need of a few 8 way looms to tidy up the studio and minimise cross talk but most commercial looms are way over priced retailing at over £50 for 3m! It's even worse when you consider that these are not balanced and the connectors are moulded plastic...blerrgh

Mono looms are cheaper and probably what I need as my requirement is just synth output

I'm sure I could probably make my own with decent connectors for less but I can't find 8 core individually screened cable anywhere at present but found this 4 core here:

maybe you have a look at telephone cables 8 cores...

IMO...I made my own cables...bought some bulk cable (good quality shielded cable) mu own 1/4" and XLR ends...soldered them myself. You can achieve the exact length you require...in other words...you might need all 8 to be exactly the same length, and as well as the overall length, so as not to have a pile of spaghetti on the studio floor.

thx Micha but I wouldn't have said telephone cable was fit for purpose. It's single strand (not very resilient) and not individually shielded.

and then maybe need some sleeving to tidy up
