Hi to everybody. Is it possible to connect the focusrite saffire pro 40 to pulsar II or luna ? I would like to use the eight XLR microphones of the focusrite .
Thanks a lot.

Sure you can. On a Pulsar II card has 2 ADAT IO on it. The Focusrite has 1. Just buy a pair of fibre optic cables & you can use the IO in the Focisrite in conjunction with the ADAT device in Scope.

Use the same PC & route the Fousrite Mic Pre 1-8 through the firewire interface on your PC, and run 9-16, using the ADAT IO between the Focusrite & one of the the ADAT OIs on the Pulsar II card. Inputs 1-8 will be directly routed into whatever DAW software you are using, Cubase, Sonar, Logic, and use the ASIO input & destinations in Scope, to route the tracks from your DAW software, that you just laid down with the Focusrite Mic Pre, back into the Pulsar/Scope Mixer. You won't be routing the Mic Pre's into your Pulsar card, just routing the tracks you have recorded, in your DAW software, back into the Scope mixer along w/other devices & samplers in Scope, for your mixdown.
Use the Focusrite Mic PREs, to get the audio tracks into the software (Cubase, Cakewalk, Sonar, Logic)...use the Scope mixer & other midi tracks w/ devices from the Pulsar II card, and you'll have a pretty nice jumping off point to start with. Just save the Scope project template, from the start, and you won't have to worry about re-creating the routing scheme, in Scope. Therefore, every time you are ready to record, just load that starting template you made in your Pulsar II set up, and start laying down the tracks!
I hope this helps...
