SPINNER DE ('Delay Edition' of SPINNER) new on 03/04/09

Post by Shroomz~> »

Hi,

here is a Delay Edition of SPINNER. The configuration is Delay1 > SPINNER > Delay2. The delays are purely tempo-based. You can set the BPM values with the BPM pots or by typing your desired tempo into the BPM displays. After setting your tempo/s you can then set separate Quantize values for L & R to give you your desired delay time/s.

Presets should be fully working, but I haven't made very many for this yet, so in the meantime, you can either create your own preset bank from scratch or make a copy of the 'SPINNER.pre' file & rename it to 'SPINNER DE.pre' which will allow you to load the default SPINNER presets.

Have fun & let me know what you think.

Thanks,

I tried Spinner last night - WOW!
Now to try the delay version.

Sweet.

Hope I can contribute something as good when I get going with the SDK. :D

i love the way the BPM changes the delay times - doubles as a delay time calculator :D. Much prefer the new momentary buttons too.

Has nobody ever made a delay time calculator for Scope? I can easily make one if there isn't one already available.

Here's a couple of audio files I made of a TR-606 & Vermona DRM-1 going through SPINNER DE. The delay times aren't accurately tempo matched to the 606 sequencer in these, so it's pretty loose. The quality is low in these M4A files as well...

Yeah Shroomz........That's The Ticket.
I right clicked on the M4A files and opened then in IvIvo as I thought there was possibly some attached video frames.
The first demo was a taste, the second demo was definately the entree.
Acoustic, Latin Perc & Electro.
This is what these threads should be like.
Much more fun sharing than the usual.....sounds great thanks alot.....proove it's use.
The second M4A is worth stealing and the Spinner's making some serious Spinnage indeed.

The Latin perc was a TR-727.
Yeah, the use of m4a & ogg file extensions in attachments was enabled about an hour ago.

Hi Danny,

the only the thing I can think of is that I didn't save this one from sdk with the panel (GUI) open. I never use XTC, but maybe you or another XTC user here that uses a Scope mixer in XTC mode could test for me if it works ok when you insert it in one of the mixer's stereo insert slots & save your xtc project with the SPINNER DE panel open. I know that's what you have to do with the panel of mixers to be able to see them in xtc, so I'm thinking it might well work the same with this & if that's the case, at least you would have a method for using it in xtc. In fact, I guess it wouldn't even need to be inserted in a mixer at all. You could set it up standalone in your xtc project & leave the panel open when saving the project. I'm curious, so let me know if you get it working ok using one of these methods.

cheers,

I tried several posibilities ,no go, i can use it with the multi fx insert in cubase but it wil not work as vst xtc plug !
That's ok no problem but i found it odd because it works with the SPINNER !

Anyway thx for the devices

This attached version now works properly in XTC mode. Many thanks to Danny who reported the issue & tested this version for me.
