Vinco Comp in XTC ????

Post by tuzzan »

Hello !

Just upgraded my 3 Luna boards with 3 Pulsar 2 cards instead.

The only problem a have is that I cant get the Vinco compressors (S and M)
to be vissible in Cubase S 4.1.3 . All other xtc plugs working well .
Yes I´ve read other topic´s and searched the forum , but no luck !
I renamed the files to Vinco S.dll and Vinco M.dll and put them in :cubasse/vstplugins/xtc/dynamic . The original Vinco files is in Devices/plug-ins/dynamic.
I have also tried to update vst folder in cubase and even put the "vinco s.dll " files under a new folder in the XTC folder with no luck ???? :-? :-? :-?

Please I need some help !

Best regards / Tuzzan

maybe open up the the creamware "rack" plugin ( forgot what its called, but its located under "other" in the xtc plugin menu, and after that, load the vinco in the rack?
that works for some of my plugins.

hope it works!:)

No luck !

I have tried with copying dev-file to DeviceXTC folder it didn´t work exept from
the "Hexa Chorus S" that I missed in XTC mode , that started ok in cubase.
I have also checked the "scopvst.cfg" and the search string is ok.

I´ve checked so the spelling is right but still no luck ????

Dont know what to do ???

Thanx for the response anyway !

Hello again !

Today I have opened Vinco S and Vinco M in normal scope-mode,
It worked OK.

But the problem is still there , no Vinco plugs in XTC-mode.

I´m out of ideas ?

Maybe it´s better to wait for Scope 5 and see. ..

Thanx !

Hallo

I remember to have had the same problem.

My solution:
I changed all paths in the SCOPEVST.CFG to the original devices folders and deleted the XTC-Devices folder.
It is not necessary, it only doubles the devices;
the Scope-Installer makes many mistakes concerning the XTC-Device placement. I did not find any difference between the Scope-devs and the XTC-devs.

And as you know, you can use almost every dev as VST(i)-modul

Hope it helps

Thanks Funky r !

I only got it to work if i first import the scope fx rack in the fx track in cubase !

I´ll try this and hope for the best , it would make the workflow much easier though .

Thanks for the tip !
