hi
i have done an upgrade from single processor amd 64 to multiprocessor opteron 180 (dual core of course)
all works well same masterverb (18 with 3 cards 15+15+3) and SFP(4.5) perfomance than before,
and better overall perfomance
i mean cubase, vst, editing software os etc
i have upgraded from windows xp2 to windows xp pro 3 without reinstalling any software
no apic, acpi io, problems

Good to know there is an existing proven setup to compete with the intel monopoly reigning here, would be nice if you could post the rest of the computer setup just for reference.
