The Sustaine

We are using the soft clip, distortion and overdrive in Scope but is there a sustaine plug also for guitar to use in Scope.
We dont use amp simulation plugins ,but maybe there is a free sustain plug for guitar to use in Scope ,that I have missed.

it's not for guitars, specifically, but what about a plugin like transient designer?

He already has Attacker & knows bout TD, but if he wants sustain to be independant of input level, then TD is definitely the way to go.

Theres some Dynamic devices listed here :

http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_14/mra_mast.htm

Under Stereo Effects #1, #2 and #3.

Mostly compressors at a guess, but its hard to tell from the names. I'm guessing the sustain levels would be input level dependant on most of these though.

a sustainer is a specialized compressor.

I know that, but we have skipped the Waves GTR because we still use some analogue tubecompressors here.
and we find both Distortion and the Overdrive in Scope very usefull when doing feedback,
so I just wondered if I had missed something among the Scope plugins.
We just did great recordings here without any sustain , but thanks in anyway.

Thank you very much , we look at the mono effects now.
DAS TR1D is very good on drums but guitar sustain is not the same.
If you want to help to find thats very nice because analog pedals is mostly very low quality.
We dont want to use them in online setup.
We wait until we find.

Well theres 9 DERKNOTT Dynamic plugs under Mono Effects, you could try those but if no good maybe sell Attacker then buy TD !

Yes we try the Derknott soon, but what is this about the attacker, its strictly for drums,
and compressors we mainly use to make preamplification,
so whats called guitarcompressors is not the same as dynamic compressors.
Sustain is used also to balance the transients thats produced by dynamic compressors.
Probarbly thats what DAS TR1D is doing although I never thought about using DAS TR1D
on the guitar and we get far to much transients using Waves GTR on guitar so we just asked here.
Its no big deal maybe DAS TR1D is made for guitar also.

Well I will also try TD on guitar then. I used to have a BOSS sustain pedal in the 80th, but now if I want Guitar Sustain I just use eBow.

You cant get much more sustained than eBow (infinite), and its probably around the same price as TD !!!

Mind you its not much good for chords, only 1 string. For that you need a Godley and Creme Gizmo.

Thats à great answere thanks, we try that eBow !

Also try the free Celmo Echo which is half reverb, half delay, but put the S|C Expander in the front of it. It will boost a signal that starts dying out with max envelope values.l ( Release )

Is that the Celmo MIDI Clock Delay or what

I dont think the Clock is a delay. The only free delay I can see on Celmo is the GANJA Dub Delay

Is this the one ?

http://forums.planetz.com/viewtopic.php ... 6&p=192551

Or maybe if you take a little ganja makes guitar notes more sustained

Or a sustainiac pickup system.
Or a resonator (also German)

Awesome fun.

Thanks a lot , but I dont think you schould smoke that ganja anymore.

Its sustaine inside the brain , and you must have misunderstood a lot.

Some say its medicine and have demonstrations dressed as totally naked.

There is seven active substances in it ,and each one by itself is very dangerous for the brain.

Actually its eating up your brain.

Yes, but probably not as much as the vodka is :)

I reckon alcohol is worse by far.

Ok you drink vodka and smoke ganja.

So is there also a digital Godley and Creme Gizmo you said for also Rythmguitar,

It also seems to be direct on the guitar.

or was that something you just said after smoking some ganja with vodka on top.

I like fair play so I put in this pic here now.

Its using much less dsp % when using it in Xite ,

and it gives much less amplification when used without crossing of the channels,

but more than enough for the final Stereo mixdown if used with two Stereo Channels

without crossings of the channels.

Here we used both channels crossed at feedback .

From mono Rytmguitar to two mono signals that schould be made mono again ,

in order to use the extra feedback from the crossings of the channels to the maximum.

Used for Stereo mixdown I would use feedback filter set to 20 HZ

That will help to raise subbass in the mastering also.

The numbers. on the ParamEQ is from top 771 hz, 464 hz ,748 hz and 76 hz.

Is that sustainiac pickup system also putted direct on the guitar,

and the resonator, is hopfully some other gear than I found here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resonator

I want digital plugins if there are good ones.

If not , we can balance already what we have anlalogly with Sonic Core.

Ex .our Analoge Tube Distortion goes very well with 3 digital Sonic Core Distortions.

If they are not for that, I dont care.

Thank you for telling me about Celmo.
I am testing their Subbas booster here. ( Celmo_SBBoosterPro )
Its no question we will buy that one, havnt tested the others yet.
This is great on top of all our feedback here.
Aha now we got the licensed version without any keyfile.
That was fast.
I like theire Supa Fazz.
Now I have putted in 3 Celmo_SBBoosterPro.
Also one at the Stereo feedback .
This is great.
Now we putted the last one before Brainworx of course.
After Brainworx was ok but this is good.

The Gismo = mechanical (rotates small wheels on each string). Theres also a Bass model w/ only 4 wheels.
Ebow = electromagnetic
Sustainiac = electromagnetic
Resonator = not sure but looks electromagnetic (?). This is not the same as your wiki reference, which looks to me more a configuration of the guitar body itself to boost resonance. Here is what GregH was referring to : http://www.vibesware.com/vibesware_english.htm

Anyway, these are interesting devices (non digital) and if some DSP code could be written to model them and included w/ 6 string or seperate, could be an interesting new Scope plugin and also fit your criteria of being digital :)
