Grenzfrequenz Synchrotron

Post by LorenOA76 »

Dear Scope Users,
Need Help with Synchrotron under Scope V7
I try to play any-notes (there is a midi signal) but no sound :(
I change presets and no sound too ..
Maybe, I missed a dsp file?
My Synchroton.dev file is version 1.0
Do I miss something, how can I solve that?
Can someone help me?
Many thanks in advance
Merry Christmas :)
Loren

i don't know, but the Synchrotron is pretty old. it may not work correctly in 64bit. also, some step sequencer devices made with old atoms do not work in 64bit. are there any .sys or .dsp files associated with it?

Dear Gary,
I don't ask for any .dsp or .sys file ?!
When I move the NB of Polyphonic voices it don't affect the DSP Usage meter .. :(
Something is wrong ..

I have synchrotron here, but am away right now, so will reply when I am home. But yes sometimes it won’t play a sound when you change to another preset so you may have to try reloading the device and then reloading whichever preset. Also you may need to set the midi channel in both the device and in the scope device taskbar to the same channel you wanting to use. Try that and let us know. I don’t remember there being any other files needed but not 100% sure.

i got a newer version of Synchrotron.
1.3.1c, twice even: The one with hamburg audio in the file name has preset list that stores voices with each preset, while the other one does not. Yet both are labelled same version. Weird. Anyways, maybe these work for you?

Yes, it does need a key. Could have tried that quick :)

Indeed S|C isn't selling it for whatever reason, and don't offer a download either.

Also, it's the old style device, which would save different versions of the whole device that includes preset lists and midi assignments in the save.

If S|C needs a back-catalog of devices, I have a couple of those here. And then some. Hihi.

Some sequencer stuff is broken on Xite-1. Something to do with the atom used only works on the original dsps used on pci cards, try assigning grenzfrequensie to dsp 2 on Xite.

On all other dsps (the new ones) nothing will update unless you do a reassignment to another dsp chip or do a sample rate switch in the project (lower it and then back to the sample rate you are using)

Info can be found here.

I’m assuming that’s the issue by the way you describe it not updating and just being stuck on the same pattern on load.

I’m running 32bit windows xp. 🤷‍♂️ And all the sequencer stuff that is broken, works once assigned to dsp2 (if there is enough space for said device to load on that chip)

Please let me know if it fixes it for you. If you can get it working on #DSP 2, great. If you need to always re assign to a dsp or switch the sample rates to activate patch/patterns, that’s not really going to be workable if you want to use more than one pattern.

This is assuming of course you have an Xite.

Mattomat is really good btw and works flawlessly on Xite.

You are right I have an Xite.
Unfortunately I’m confined out of my home And in france we are confined until mid may so I won’t be able to test until then.
Argh I missed my home studio!
I’ll take a look at Mattomat I was already tempted to buy it.
