ADAT sync (sync plate vs A16 Ultra)

Post by scary808 »

I’m wanting to introduce another ADAT device into my setup. Would I need the ADAT sync plate or could my A16 Ultra serve as the synchronization point for Scope? I don’t remember much about the way this all plays together.

Thanks!

righty right, optical sync is all that's needed.
You only need the Sync-Plate for Wordclock-io and for serial Adat control connection (Alesis hardware like the BRC and their Adat recorders). The latter is pretty unreliable under Windoze, I never got it to work properly, which is a pity because the implementation is quite nice.
