:D This is a great concept! As an additional feature to an existing regular controller, this is a great idea! I guess I need this for all my software synthesizers. No matter which one!

I'd quietly suggest to avoid dealing with this company, from personal experience they have no loyalty to their products or customers

I find the price a little bit to high. The 'Sanwa' buttons (Sanwa has no metallic buttons yet, so I assume there are from a different source) cost each $2, the encoder comes at $30 (the knob $5) and the case $15. Including a microcontroller and some wiring (about $20). That's about $90 in material. The program for the MC itself can be downloaded.

The program can be downloaded? Joke! It was written extra for the controller. There is no other easier way to get access to any parameters in any program you want to use, because this software manipulates the position of the mouse pointer! No communication between vst Plugins or scope or other software is necessary.

I will get this controller because it is a perfect over all control across any of the platforms you use. No matter, inside of cubase, Appleton or scope or any plug in.

Just search for Arduino Mouse! https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Keyb ... useControl
It's the basic concept. You can of course do some fancy stuff additionally, but fact is, this program takes over mouse and keyboard (independently, of what DAW or else you're running).
Not that the whole concept is not worth pursuing it. Just as POC, I'll build one for myself. I've all the parts in stock (besides the encoder, which I can get from OMRON directly- this one has max resolution of 2500 impulses/rotation).

Oh nice if you are an engeneer electronican and a programmer, I'm more a musician And a user. So we will talk about it in a few months of development while others produce there second album of beautiful music. How far do you want to go away?

As far as it takes. This kind of development takes days, not months.
But anyway, you can spend your money as you wish and give it away to rip-offs, if you like that - but wait, maybe you are an Apple fan and are used to it ;-) (no offense).

Looks great but they lost me at the "hover your mouse over the knob...." part.

We played on large metal, mushroom cap shaped, multidirectional (3 Giant Springs) rides at the park nearby.
You could tilt, while rotating....really cool idea if miniaturized.

I recently bought and still programming a Source Audio Reflex Expression Pedal.
It's a fantastic, freaky bad multi CC modulator, with a CV out to CV VCF In (SE-02) on analog synths, but loves Scope, and it's real freaky when you add Scopes MIDI Devices.

For example, using SALs PRJ Preset device, you can save hundreds of presets, which are a snapshot of the entire project window.
A preset could use several MIDI Filters, and change software/hardware MIDI Routing in real time.

I say buy it and make some crazy examples.

How it works: the device acts as Mouse/Keyboard device. If you hover/put your real mouse over any position on your screen (for example knob/slider in the DAW), you can move the cursor relatively to this position with the device's encoder knob. If you select hor./vert. or circular, the encoder's movement will be translated into the proper mouse movements (i.e. angle to x,y or x/y).

Great for pot increments in the modular!

Would still appreciate a kinder user interface for the excellent midi2cv device :D

It's not a new concept.

I have a novation nocturn controller, the one with no keys, only 8 buttons and 8 encoders. It also has a super encoder which will act upon the GUI element you happen to be hovering your mouse pointer on.

It's not as useful as I thought it would be, and really not sure if it worked in Scope. But if you want to try how the concept works, you can get this one for cheap (discontinued, though):

Not a too bad controller, but build quality should be nothing like the one in the OP. I remember I was very excited when I first got it, but it needs the automap software, which is a PITA, and the form factor is a bit strange, so I haven't used it a while.

With the nocturn you can't control scope.
