More inputs
Re: More inputs
Or they don't really play enough to realize how many octaves are needed...
I use an 88 note split for dual manual playing.
I can keep upper manual active switching lower manual to Horn Sections, Power Chords, SE-1 Drones of death, etc.
God Bless the Physis K4.
3rd updated firmware perfected the design.
Best controller ever made IMHO...

Re: More inputs
Hello guys,
At last I went for the ADA8200, just received it. Sorry for the newbie question but I tried to plug it quickly: ADA 8200 ADAT OUT to the pulsar ADAT IN, ADA 8200 ADAT IN to the Pulsar ADAT out, routing with ADAT source to ASIO DEST and activated the ADAT A in the scope settings but I get no sound if I plug the guitar to the 1st input in the ADA8200. I can see the signal comes because of the led on the ADA8200 but that's all. Moreover tt looks like when I load the ADAT Dest module I didn't get any sound (like if the outputs are all muted). Did I miss something? Any tip to do a quick test?
Thanks again.

Re: More inputs
Few more details: I tried to set the Ada in slave adar in
The sync locked light isn't green.
Do I need to activate the adat A or B depending on which one is used
Of course I tried this, the locked light was in green one time (still no sound)
Do I need to look to other settings?
Thanks!

Re: More inputs
set Scope to master and the ADA8200 to ADAT slave.
use both cables.

Re: More inputs
Thanks Gary, I think the cables were inverted (adat IN & out are not inverted in the manual?)
Get sound now
Need to investigate for the ada outputs and routing.
Inputs : OK no problem
to get the main mix to the outputs 1 & 2 I assume I should route the main output to the ADAT dest 1 & 2 and plus the 2 XLR outputs to my headphone amp?
tried this and got a distorted signal, I'll investigate deeper.
Thanks all!

Re: More inputs
yeah.
if your headphone amp has an RCA or 1/4" phone input, chances are that it is consumer level -20. the ADA8200's outputs are +4 professional level, i believe. you will probably need to lower the master on the headphone output from the Scope mixer.

Re: More inputs
Thanks!
Looks like everything is working ok, the issue probably was the adat cables, they look very sensitive... I plugged everything as explained all is working ok including the multi headphones system, and still have inputs and outputs available for the future
Gary you're the Man!

I was looking around for an alternative for the a16 and found the ada8200.
It looks to be both awesome and affordable.
Its just what I need, and I think iam going for one.
I wanted to ask if you still happy with it?
Thanks.
Kevin.
Re: More inputs
Yes, but gel the Revive Audio or Black Lion Modification.
It won’t be as good as an A16 Ultra for flexibility but it will sound as good, and the Mod allows more than ADAT In XLR Out, or XLR In ADAT Out.
You can select parts of both and even loop your ADAT which usually costs another 800 to have that capability.
But even if you add the costs of 4 x ADA8200s to a used A16u, the A16 is cheaper.
If you can find a used A16U I would jump on it in a heartbeat.

Re: More inputs
Still very happy with the ADA8200 since I found the good config for the synchronization. Every stuff are now plugged and I don't have to touch anything else.
This really worth it, I don't know about the A16 but if you can find one it should be probably very good too.

I think the ada will do just fine, and Iam spending alot less then I initially thought I would for such a box
Thanks again guys, its appreacieteteed.
