I don't really NEED Scope 6. I will probably only upgrade if the plugins run in VST mode. It's a pain in my back having to route everything through ASIO. I don't need a sampler. Got myself a Korg M3 a long time ago. It can sample, but I never use that feature. Yeah, I know it's an old keyboard, but the sound it great. Almost a gig of quality samples.

Most plugins actually do run in XTC-mode which in your world is VST-mode.
- If you only use the synths, XTC-mode might be easier in many cases.
- If you use many Scope effects on the same channel, latency can become an issue unless you use the effects rack
- Modular is not available in XTC-mode

I have actually been thinking about running my PCI-cards in XTC-mode and route them into my XITE through ADAT to get the best of both worlds. Never got around to trying it out though, but I can't see why it shouldnt work.

Yep. I only really care about the synths. Don't need the FX.

Then you should try getting your head around XTC-mode ;)

ScopeSync for modular surpasses XTC-mode.

--> Petal --> Do you have special news about Scope in Copenhague ?? You are 'quiet sure' to see Scope 6 soon ??

Soon word definition for SC (and for Creamware, it was the same !) is completly different than for the rest of the world. I believe when you work for SC, your life expectancy is around 896 years, if you are unlucky. :P

SC is already planning a Scope version (6.01) for use in quantum personnal computers.

Awesome! Congrats on the new "toy" :) I've found the XITE to be endless...and have a solid list of gear that I am finally comfortable selling now because of it.

This thread looks in my eyes like you try to write the eulogy before the unpleasant fact.

The "community" is curious... Is it left alone without it's generous host?

Most probably you are projecting your personal resentment on your tools.

You really needed scope 6, and you got nothing.
What a pity...

I am not sure what you're saying Frax?

I waited for Scope to be 'fixed'. It just didn't happen and won't happen any time soon.

These are just annoyances that should be easy to fix. It's not like it's crashing all the time...

@Twocows

You want it to be fixed so to have the pleasure to ruin it again on your own heh?

Do you need to make a joke out of everything?

The company is not dead, the product is great, just not for me. If Scope works for you, make some music instead of posting pictures that don't make any sense to me.

is there an argument?

actually, i share the humor, but it's just humor.

no, SC isn't dead.

also-
the specific reason that this forum exists is for lovers of the Scope system. it is a link between users and the knowledge of those users. except for the off topic forum, it's ALL about Scope, how to use it and how to love it. even the off topic section is mainly for Scope lovers' use. everyone is welcome to post, but at the end of the day, Scope is the reason for being here.

Aye,

Not gonna argue. Scope is still the best thing out there...

I did have a lot of fun with Scope. But I spent all the time playing with all the great devices. I think the possibilities were too much to handle.

I probably complained about Scope once or twice a week, but nothing show stopping.

I'm gonna shut my mouth now and go fix my computer.

Gary is cool. I hope he still has the beard. I tried to grow one, didn't work out so great, so I shaved it :(
