Hi,

Just wanted to share a "prod" recorded/produced in spacef studio

I did Recording , Arrangements, and mixing.

Well, I am happy to have remixed it last week end when they asked me the mix again... I had no idea it was meant to go public...

Recorded last year, I was just told by the band that a video was online.

It was made before KrOn was made, so no KrOn inside

Recorded With Xite-1 + Modular Mixer v2 (voices, guitars)
A couple of Echo 4 i delays
Mixed in Studio one (with lots of NI plugins for compress/verbs) and Modular Mixer v2
SpaceF plays MS20 solos, redid basses (minitaur+ms20)

I also did the Mastering but would have prefferred that they go to a proper mastering studio.

Were the vocals sent thru the Echo 4 as well?

That's really excellent. A bit of Etienne Daho but with much better lyrics. The record, mixing & mastering sound perfect. At least, it wasn't you who made the video ? Which is not bad at all !
If you made the arrangement, it means you're responsable of a great part of the musical result, right ? Really good.

No I did not make the video. it's a gifted guy named hédi. i saw some raw video shooting, what he made with it is really fantastic (video engineer job, i feel like he used video effects just as we use audio effects,).

no, there is only reverb on the voices (or may be a bit of delay but not echo4i, not that I remember at least).
there is noticeable Echo4i on the guitars and on the intro synth solo, the synths/keys "stacks" that you hear somethimes.

yes, not alone though, it was a common group work.
I added the solo in the intro drums, outro, redid the bass with the subtle pitch bends, it is also my guitar pedals, my analog synths and vsti, fx etc mixed to my taste in fact I think they did that track knowing whatfrustrated me in their other tracks.

It is weird because it's hard to say "it is my song" but I also recognize it as "one of my tracks" .

They should have told me that it was going online though, i would have cleaned the vocals a little bit more (there 1 word that is still disturbing to me and it was a only work in progress mix i did a few months ago) So I feel better if you like the prod as it is

PS: making vidéos takes so much time.... time not making music.... but it has to be done :-/ ..... I did not shave, did only one take... so it is "so and so"
