New Noah Owner but big trouble

Post by sovietpop »

Hi,

I've ordered a brand new Noah from Ebay (btw it was from musictech and i can say it was a pleasure dealing with that guy)

Well, i wanted to make a backup from my Noah but i pressed the wrong button ! :( Instead of creating a backup of my Noah i did restore a backup (thought i dont know which one cause i never made any backup). Anyway after that my Noah was not booting anymore so i used the Flash utility. Guess what ... The unit is booting but i need a key for every single synth ???
So i have sent 2 mails to sonic-core about 9 days ago but no reply. Is there any way i can fix the problem without sonic core ?

I am afraid the Noah is now good for the bin :(

Thanks in advance for any help.

Jean Sebastien.

I do not think there is any workaround. :(
Making a backup was wise ... too bad you made a mistake.
As you succeed to upload the NOAH firmware once again, you got to the point where none of us could help you as you definetly needs the keyfile.

I feel the best would be to wait a bit for an answer from SC.
They do not support CreamWare Noah but probably still can kindly generate keyfile for it...

S|C has NO connection with the Noah. the keyfiles are sent as a goodwill service, but the Noah is not supported in any way. what happens is that v4 requests and Noah requests go into a folder that gets worked on when it's slow. obviously paying customers of Sonic|Core must be taken care of first. the problem is that there are only a few people at Sonic|Core and they've been building and shipping XITEs lately. also, there have been a number of v5.1 purchases. since there's only one guy in charge of keyfiles, he probably hasn't been able to get to your request. if you want, you can write in again to be sure.

Thats a good sign - plenty of XITE's shipping :) Do we detect some (at least modest) momentum in uptake (due to SDK package deal or otherwise) ?
