Midi clock sync

Post by Fredsa »

Ok, I have Cubase sending midiclock to Noah through the USB port, checking the clock sync on the Midi manager it seems that the tempo/clock is flactuating when coming in into Noah, for ex if I have cubase on 120 bpm, I get everything between 121 to 126 (changing during the playback) on Noah's midimanager.

Does anyone have this problem as it means the arpegiator timing is not tight, overall I åpercive a lot of timing problems, specialiy in higher tempi. Is this my computer, cubase or Noah, could someone try this out?

thanks

it is "normal"... midi sync from any software will be fluctuating.
If you could try with a hardware based clock, it is not fluctuating in noah or scope...

the trick is to set the tempo internally in the noah/scope and have it triggered by note on messages. that way it is tight and precise (note-on control the strat phase too, so you can program the start of an lfo shape better than with external synch).
