I don't know. It's an idea they had in the General Scope Discussion and I told them it's a bad idea, for Noah is very different to ASB, and Noah owners are not necessarily ASB owners (why would anyone buy an ASB if you already have Noah?).
They probably thought about a hardware synth section. That's pointless because there wont be any thread in common to Noah and ASB...

ASB boxes have as much to do with Noah as they do a Scope card. I see you've already voiced dissagreement with this R.D, but obviously no-one is listening... What's going on ???

These are separate machines & as such it would seem essential that they have separate forums, surely ???

I'm totally bemused by this.

Why on Earth would the brand new ASB discussions take place here in the Noah forum

The admin listened to the General Scope Discussion posters, coz they complained to see ASB threads mixed with Scope threads...

So he choosed to mix ASB and Noah sections, without asking Noah posters...
He probably thinks the few Noah threads don't deserve a whole section.

I guess the admin owns a Scope and no Noah

I don't see why this should be a problem for Noah users.

there has been many posts for Minimax ASB is many areas of this forums and ALL Minimax ASB posts (unless it qualifies under announcement) should be posted in ONE Area. John chose the Noah Forum as Noah is an external box and ASB is also an extrenal box/Synth.

I already made that hypothesis in my first post if you read carefully...
The fact it's 2 external boxes won't help having threads in common.
That's not a big problem, but the threads in this place will now have to be clearly "named" with the unit it's talking about (Noah or ASB), for people who are only interested in Noah or only in ASB don't waste too much time finding what they want.

This place has so many sections, what's the problem with a new one?

We're just expressing our opinions (you know, it's a forum...) and trying to understand why ASB and Noah are not 2 different sections.
Of course it's not that important, but I think you see an "extreme umbrage" where there's nothing that extreme.

I also would like to see that ALL posts be labeled anyway for easy search.

Maybe when there are lots of ASB out there, we may ask John to consider seperating the 2

It doesn't make sense, that's all. It will become confusing & un-organised, when there is no need. ASB forum should be on it's lonesome, be there 20, 200 or 2000 users.

The $3500 Noah deserves it's own spot too, that's all.

Yes, an ASB forum.

They are very, very different & the decision doesn't make sense. I'm sure John will realise this & create an ASB forum, which would make a lot of sense.

ASB should have it's own forum IMO (and a growing No of other people's)

It's about qualification.

I can post a picture of our Noah sitting very happily next to 2 Waldorf buddies, next to our Scope system, but in honesty i don't feel the need.
