NAMM 2021 Online

Post by dante »

NAMM 2021 will be an online only event

https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/na ... r-BB17WcTu

They cite 'New Technology' - what will that be - some sort of 'Zoom' on steroids with surround and 3D glasses ? Does it mean the possibility general public admittance as well ? Spose it all depends on bandwidth... And will presenters no longer have to pay for logistics and stand rental but some sort of online channel ?

:D So I guess NAMM is going to suuuuuucccckkkk this year for the individuals that usually have the pleasure of attending. For the rest of us just the status quo of promotional YT videos minus the selfies of jokers filming themselves farting around in the booths.
I have a feeling there will be a lot of new release announcements/videos outside of the timeframe of the NAMM this year. Just a guess.

Agreed.
And in all honesty not having to see old rockers in their 70’s with their wives wearing Spandex is fine with me.
Couldn’t get a woody for a week after seeing that shit.
They’re called stealth butts by NAMM goers. Can’t see that booty cause it be invisible and shit.

Lots of new synth modules, lots of innovation since the economic boom brings competition and innovation.
COVID-19 has shut down CES too. I’m going to Taipei though, first time ever.
My passport is being reviewed as we speak, it’s Computex in June. I got a badge from some ASRock guys.
Man they got the hot booth babes too in Vegas. I played there a few times and had 2 years of killer festivals, shows and conventions cancelled. Time to fight again I guess. I never complain because the feast/famine way of life is a serious motivator.

I want to see HydraSynth go multitimbral.
I’m already bored with WaveState.
I’ll sell it with a case for 500 bucks and free shipping just to keep my grandkids from destroying it. I catch them walking down the hall with modules and FX all the time. Before long it will be at the bottom of the stairs.

Yepp, it’s a module, has an assault rifle case (H & K MP5) so when you load into gigs in urban areas people tend to think your carrying.
All my gear uses Gun and Ammo cases. There really well built, not heavy ass Road Cases, even my Organ Module is in a pistol case. The manufacturer gave me the idea actually.
My damn keyboard stand looks like a Barrett 50. Caliber sniper rifle.

Wavestate sounds great. I just don’t need pads and unicorn/glitter type sounds now.
I’ve come full circle to Fat Bastards again.
