Lo Fi

Post by Music Manic »

Looking for a good Lo Fi plugin that will give a sound or mix a good old analogue vinyl feel

Thanks

I have been searching for that also.

http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/vinyl/

This one is weak, but maybe a Scope developer could use some filtering of sorts.

Something that sounds as dirty as an old megaphone.

It is way cool when an answering style lo-fi vocal can intertwine w/ a hi-fi vocal.

Fionna Apple did this live somehow as I watched the FOH guy tweaking an EQ or something?

They even had the keyboards strings sounding like a scratchy old record. She was too far ahead of her times to sell the records required to maintain air play here. Too bad. It was one of the only really good shows I've seen in the last 7 years.

I am searching still for that effect, and will post if I find it.

there are plenty of record groove samples, spectrasonics stylus has some great ones, or you can make your own....
