the crackles were put in there. just a little ambient effect. but you're right.. some of them sound un-musical. dunno, I think it should work in the mix.
I was thinking of fixing the machoman kicks. (to make the mid lows a bit more richer) so, if I get around to doing that, I'll see if I can do a no crackle version for the machoman snares.
But I've got a metal klangs kit to work on! LOL

Ken, could you post the size on that file in any chance? I would love to hear some of those hits, but the thought of downloading a full Gig on a 56K modem just sent a shiver up my spine. Thanks again for your effort!
OT - I'm still playing with your 73 mod2 patch, and the more I work with it, the more I'm impressed with it's simplicity and sound. That was a really elegant patch you made, just want to let you know.
