sts5000 stutter

After a long time I recently digged up the STS5000, as I wanted to use it's Formant and PitchShifting possibilities.
At first I was delighted but soon I've run into problems:
- Midiclock for LFOs not working correctly. (Ok, can live without that.)
- a BSOD when changing sample root note. Seems to be a known bug (see last post)
- in Ableton, occasional audio stutter of a loop in an audiotrack. (example) (just 4 STS instances, audio track, drum rack; after removing the STS5k everything was ok)
While I can cope with the first two, the latter is something which convinces me to lay it back into the drawer for good.
Sad because it's a cool sample mangling machine. :x
Or has someone got an idea how to avoid these hickups?
(Win7 32bit, Scope5.1, IntelDH55HC)

i actually never got it totally stable :/.
I have however used in a few track, but i always ended up doing my stuff.. recording it down then remove it from the project.
(never more then one instance and a few custom made programs
Mostly BSOD in i guess probably because of the root-note bug you mention (which i didn't knew about)

However - it do sounds great, and i want it to work stable - which might be a possibility if the root-note bug thingy was what triggered the BSOD for me. :).

However the stutter/click problem is known to me - i had that before, i will see if i still have that.

I think I found a (kind of) solution.
this is STS5k on 44.1 kHz, and that on 48kHz.
(STS w/ three instruments, all Vol=0, so just the drumloop is heard)
It seems that on 48kHz Ableton doesn't produce those artefacts :)

Moreover, ULLI setting seems to have an influence also, as with 3ms I've still got one hiccup in a 16 bar sequence, with 23ms none.

Ok, Kontakt is a great sampler, but a quite demanding the CPU if you have much time stretching going on.
And: in some situations STS5k sounds better for me.

So if I can use good old STS I'll be a happy camper - let's see if it works.
